Perhaps the follow-up to Don Parker's first CD: "Everything" should be entitled "Everywhere". Since 1996, the 45-year-old singer/songwriter/producer has been performing and recording original music everywhere from Decatur, GA to Ventura, CA.
He's played the blues clubs in Atlanta, Chicago and St. Louis and the California coffee houses from San Diego to Santa Cruz. He's played solo, in duos and in bands, ... and has logged his time in the recording studios, too. When asked to categorize his music, he laughs and says, "I write and play all kinds of music all the time. I always have. I know it would be easier for people to FIND me out there if I'd just pick one style of music and stick with it, but I just can't seem to do that. The range of projects I'm working on right now will give you some idea about what I'm talking about. I'm writing pop rock songs for an animation project, "California Swing" songs for a stage musical I've been developing, playing acoustic guitar and singing inspirational and comic songs in Southern California coffee houses and singing and playing blues harmonica as Big Daddy Don Parker in The Deja Blues Band, ... and that's really just scratching the surface of all the projects that are on my to-do list." If all goes as planned (and it rarely does!), Don plans to release three new CDs in the next three years. "Working Class Blues" as Big Daddy Don Parker, "Another Sinner Saved" as Joseph Peter, and the soundtrack CD for "Pizza Dudes" You can contact Don exclusively through CD Baby.
