Don DePaola is a self taught musician, who writes and produces original -instrumental music that has an assortment of styles. Don began playing guitar at the age of 16 and eventually pursued a music career, teaching, recording and performing throughout the NJ and NY area. After a 6 year layoff from a severe hand injury in 1992, Don had to re-teach himself how to play and began composing music again. Over the last decade Don has been involved with session work, producing, sound tracking for independent film and media production. Don presently has many featured videos on You Tube, Yahoo and Google.

    Ditto to all the comments made before by others. This is an very refreshing compilation of original songs. Don's masterful guitar playing represents what all musician's strive to achieve. Each note is beautifully crafted and articulated. I absolutely look forward to the next CD from Don!

    Keeping this short & sweet……… I was also introduced to Don DePaola through his internet videos, and I enjoyed many of them, and must say that “Grateful Soul” is a world class effort. Elegant, technical, distinguished and beautiful are several words to describe this masterful instrumental album. When I need to smile and feel harmony, I listen to this album.

    I was introduced to Don DePaola on Youtube and was amazed by his technique and improvising capabilities. This CD is about talented compositions and well crafted melodies. It actually brings me to tears at times. Two words..GET IT!
