The painter sings! Frederico Domondon's debut CD entitled "Frederico, the Artist", embodies a true artist's passion. Born in Manila, Philippines, Frederico migrated to the U.S. at the age of 16 hoping he would be an artist and a singer someday. In college, he earned an accounting degree and worked as an accountant for ten years due to his mother's advice. However, in 2000, he was able to quit his day job to pursue his art in Impressionist painting. Then, Frederico had sold over 2,000 of his own paintings from $250 to $20,000 in the last twelve years.

Fate smiled at him again when he rediscovered his passion for music when he was hired to perform at a French restaurant in Fremont, California two years ago. His talent for singing, piano playing and composing came back after more than twenty years of non performing since he has been concentrating on being an Artist. And now the dream of coming up with the CD came into fruition.

This CD contains three of his original piano solos composed and performed by Frederico along with ten soft-rock type songs, mostly from the seventies.

ORIGINAL PIANO COMPOSITIONS

The three romantic piano instrumentals entitled "The Artist's Theme", "Butterfly" and "Adios" were all composed in 2004 and played by Frederico himself.

COVER SONGS

All 10 cover songs are his favorite ballads and they reflect his artistic life. Anyone who listens to them can feel his passion. His favorite song, "Vincent", was the song he had to record since Van Gogh was a big influence in his art. Another favorite cut from the album is the Latin classic "Besame Mucho".

CD GRAPHICS

His CD also contains a booklet containing 8 pages of photos of his paintings plus his writing (You can check the stunning CD graphics design on his website www.domondon.com). He started writing poems and short stories since high school and was published last year.

Frederico is also available to perform at weddings and private parties mostly in the Bay Area (Northern California). He also is active in art and wine festivals and does a lot of private exhibition for his patrons.

    Vincent & Killing Me Softly are my favorites! I love it! I enjoy Mandy as well. The CD is great and I play it often! Your very pleasant voice reminds me of Nat King Cole. Very relaxing and pleasant to listen to. I also couldn't tell it was your first CD. Great work!

    Refreshing! I love the Girl from Ipanema although everything was good! Frederico's singing reminds me of Harry Connick Jr. It's very relaxing and easy listening type music. Songs you can sing along to. I definitely recommend this CD to everyone!

    Very soothing! It's the kind of music I like to listen to. Besame Mucho and O Sole Mio are two of my favorites from this album. Frederico's singing style reminds me of the European vocalist-singers who can sing in both English and their native language. His voice is very pleasing to the ear. Love the cover and the graphics on the CD. I like the song selections and the original piano instrumentals in between. You are truly inspiring because you can make your living from your talent that you were born with and no one can ever take that away from you. Congratulations!

    I love it! I thought that the CD was very romantic and very relaxing. The style of Frederico's music reminds me of my parents's old Spanish CD. My favorite song was Besame Mucho, although it was hard for me to choose which one. Every song has its own story and vocal tunes. I would definitely recommend this CD to everyone and I'd give it a 5***** for sure. In such a competitive field, you truly did an amazing job.

    Superb! This CD is a perfect combination of Frederico's art and music. You can't buy the painting without the CD. Frederico's excellent singing style reminds me of Barry Gibbs' smooth and sultry voice. The whole album is very relaxing and perfect for easy listening. My favorite cuts are The Look of Love and Girl from Ipanema. It's perfect for Frederico's voice. It sounds smooth and I like listening to it over and over again. I love the tone and the beat of his voice with these two songs! I would recommend this CD to everyone! I'd give this CD a (5)star rating just because the overall quality is excellent!

    Excellent! A wonderful rendition of Frederico's favorite ballads. I recommend this very highly to any music lover. The three original piano instrumentals (my favorites) showed Frederico's strength as a musical composer and outstanding skills as a pianist, just like he is an artist on canvas. Originality is the key that shows who he is. Starry, Starry night was the best vocal and the other vocals were presented very well! Excellent CD graphics, totally awesome and outstanding!
