notes
david is an 11-year survivor of a brain tumor that was predicted to kill him in 6 months. He's learned a thing or two about what matters and continues to share it with us in this, his 16th CD of all original acoustic songs. He says he's still just starting to figure it out; join him on the journey. At a recent concert, one listener referred to him as part folk singer, part theologian, part therapist, part comedian, and all heart...
TRACK NOTES FROM DAVID_____
Tomorrow is Another Day - This is an older song that I recorded live in a cabin studio with marc carraway on the mandolin. Eddie's awesome violin was added later.
Today - This is actually the first and more gentle version of this song, A new rendition has been recorded for the next album. :-)
Sometimes Love - i love the lyrics on this. the tuning is a very unique, using two partial capos
Last Rose of Summer - i think this will be the perfect song to listen to at a perfect moment - just not sure what that moment is.
Colorblind - Originally on the LIVE album - this is the studio version with Dr. john on harp
Mr. Politician - despite what you'd think, I actually wrote this in college. But it's still current in a spooky way. Plus I love the homage to the 60's groove at the end :-)
Church Soup - Just lke I do it from the stage..
Do Your Best - simple song with simple message. Killer fiddle on the chorus...
Tender Time - Originally slated to be the title track. Only song I've done with a scitar... :-)
Song for a Child - True story
She's the One - Only song I've written with only one verse and two chorus. i think it' works
Three Gifts - One of my best unplugged acoustic recordings ever
Goodbyes
All That Matters - first on a not by chance release, remixed and produced to become the title track

The music was beautiful and my CDs arrived promptly and in pristine condition. I always feel safe buying from CD baby and that my info is protected. This CD had a lot of meaning because I just lost my husband of 33 years to gastric cancer March 28, 2007. When David performed at our hospital's Cancer Survivor's Day several years ago, Ronnie and I, as well as the guest, really enjoyed his music. He reminds me so much of James Taylor, but it's his joy for life that is so meaningful. Pam Bishop
David's songs crawl under your skin and reach your soul.
author: LindaTruely a grifed song writer. Love all his CD's.
David continues to grow, harvest, and serve up a healthy, yet surprising menu
author: Rob HornstraSome surprises for me, I loved Church soup..... which is the yellow pages rap. David's fans will find this to be a new, yet familiar collection. This is good morning music, while you get dressed, and eat your breakfast. It is not turn it up loud while you clean the house like a few of his collections.
