notes
Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, composer Jon Bernstein has been playing piano for some 25 years and making electronic music for 8 years. The music of Disparition is drawn from a wide array of influences in many different genres, and attempts to create a natural sound yet surreal atmosphere. More than anything else the music is inspired by visual art and in a way is intended to be heard as visual art.

Moving
author: Bob MenserEvocative, beautiful, soaring and earth-bound at the same time.
Really, really excellent
author: Anthony GarciaThe tracks on Transmutations are catchy, involving, intriguing, and use a wild variety of textures. Fans of Amon Tobin and DJ Shadow's earlier work will enjoy this.
This is awesome and you are smarter for hearing it.
Chill, intelligent, well-produced, well-crafted. Awesome.
Marvelous!
author: KatheThis is one of the most original and creative works of music that I ever ever encountered.
