notes
A melodic jazz trio with an unusual lineup: saxofon/clarinet, drums, electric bass
In between jazz and pop this cd features originals of every band member as well as a few chosen covers.
Andreas Francke (sax/clar), Eckhard Stromer (drums) and Dirk Blümlein are university buddies who have played together for a long time which shows in a outstanding musical understanding that can be witnessed on this CD.
About dirk blümlein:
After learning to play the flute Dirk Blümlein started his musical carrer as a trumpet player and turned to bass guitar at age 14, being first influenced by players like Geddy Lee or Graham Maby. He toured europe with Ska-Band "NO SPORTS" for about ten years and 5 cds. Currently he´s a member of the german pop band "Fools Garden" promoting their new cd "Ready For the Real Life".
He has played and recorded with guys like Michael Kersting, Laurel Aitkin, Peter Krauss, Joerg Reiter, Ron Spielman, Bodo Schopf, Daniele Groff (Italy), Volker Hinkel.
Dirk studied to play the bass guitar at Stuttgart "Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst", making his master in 1999. His teachers were Thomas Heidepriem and Thomas Stabenow. Being in music school he developed a liking for Jazz and Fusion, Weather Report and Jaco Pastorius made a very big impression.

Self-characterization:
"I´m a 37-year old guy that loves to make music, who loves to play the bass.
That´s all i do since the age of 20. I like all kinds of music, whether its jazz or rock or pop-music.
I do my own musical projects as well as play in other bands, do studio work or even give lessons. I like huge cars, watching and doing sports, nutella, snow in winter and the sun in summer."
Enjoy the music!!!

A jazz master piece
author: Javier De Uriarte FerroAnother great Cd from a Fools Garden band member this is just and amazing Cd i mean if you really like Jazz this is a top choice Dirk Blümlein once more prove to be not only a great bass player but a great musician is true that in this Cd he plays along whit his partners of the "trio" but tha fact is that whit out Dirk's excelent bass performance this music would be nothing. and if you still dont belive me well you know what they say seeing is beliving (in this case listening jeje) so i recomend you start by listening to the preview of Anna a really good melody that you will never stop enjoying as well as all this CD ^.^
