Dark, Dope Album.
author: Brian KayserFans of Oldominion will definitely be feelin this release, which features Bishop I, North Czar, Gash, and Esoteric. And also has guest performances by DJ Scene (Boom Bap Project), Onry Ozzborn, and JFK (of Grayskul). This album has a feel that most Hip Hop albums can't achieve. There's a dark, mystic feel to this Northwest crew. The album definitely has a sinister, underground feel to it. "Death Eternal" is the first track that gets things started off on a dark note. DJ Scene cuts the hell out of this track. Scratching on the records is something a lot of groups are missing now. The high-energy, angry track "War Cry" stands out. This is a track that shows their cleverness with words as the lyrics and hook make this track dope. "Burnin" is a dope cut that has has Bishop I tearing through his verses at rapid pace. This is a short EP to get ready for the album, "The Metra" which is coming soon. For more info on Dim Mak, email dimmakmusic@hotmail.com. Brian Kayser writes for HipHopGame.com
Album Is Pure Heat.
author: KonfuzedI was really impressed with this album along with the hooks also the beats. There are strong messages and is a good material to relate to. I always get high to track 3 and 5. I say buy this album and you wont be dissapointed.
Dim Mak.... as bold as John William's Darth Vadar theme.
author: Charles Mudede for The StrangerDIM MAK : EPoch (Heavyweight Titles) Dim Mak's EPoch, which was released this fall, has the same Northwest noir that the Oldominion crew has perfected--especially in the form of Grayskul--but their beats are much heavier and loop arrangements more symphonic. Though the Seattle-based rappers can be heard and understood against the tumult of strings and horns, they do not express or explore an inner world. Dim Mak are external, loud, and as bold as John Williams' Darth Vader theme. There is also a militaristic element in Dim Mak's hiphop--not in the realistic sense of MOP, who directly borrow their fury and attitude from the figure of the drill sergeant, but instead in the nature of a supernatural army. The forces of evil vs. the forces of good--this is the kind of war that rages through Dim Mak's impressive EP. CHARLES MUDEDE
Support this GREAT group! Buy this CD!!
author: Tablet NewspaperOn the Down Low Text by SAMSON SPEARS On the local front, make sure you support my man Bishop I, Ezra Crowley and company and purchase the Dim Mak EP Epoch. If you've been to any local emcee battles or Oldominion shows, then you have probably seen Bishop I on stage ripping mics and showcasing his rugged and aggressive style. It's good to finally be able to hear some of his music on CD, because dude has been paying dues for a while. Samson Spears writes for The Tablet, Seattle WA

The Oldominion Crew just keeps cranking out release after release. This time, we finally get to experience more from Bishop I than just watching him electrify a crowd. With Ezra and Esoteric helping create the musical backdrop, the trio's project, Dim Mak, has released a record, EPoch, that's in stores now. Bishop I has been holding it down as one of the best freestylers and live performers in the region, always adding that extra burst of energy at Oldominion shows. While he has appeared on several of the crew's projects, EPoch showcases a little more of his own artistic side. DJ Scene adds to the album with his scratches, and JFK and Onry Ozzborn lend their vocals to the mix. SAMUEL L. CHESNEAU hiphop@thestranger.com REQUIRED LISTENING 1.
