Biography

Hard Trance, Breaks, Industrial Breaks, Drum and Bass, Electronica, IDM and Oldschool. Underground electronic artist from Finland. Composing tracks since 1990.

Digital Beat sound is full of driving filtered rhythms, loops and acid synthlines. The original sound of Digital Beat is influenced by oldskool acid, techno, electronica and even hip hop music. Digital Beat's first influences are Prodigy and Jean Michel Jarre. Also German electro group Kraftwerk is also a big innovator. The music is aimed mainly to the dancefloor but I have composed music also for computer games. Digital Beat produces mostly hard trance, hard dance, electronica and intelligent techno.

Musical influences/inspirations

Prodigy, Aphex Twins, Kraftwerk, Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers,FSOL and Jean Michel Jarre.(also many others) I'm also influenced by movies, nature and weird sounds. I have been in the mp3 scene since year 2000.

it's a bunch of poetry that it's not actually a cd but I was bored so I dunno....

There are so many electronic artists in the world that it's nice to hear one who actually knows what he is doing! Digital beat certainly does. The songs are energetic and engaging. He brings his own well developed style into the medium and transfixes the listener with amazing music you simply won't find anywhere else. He never gets boring or recycles cliché sounds. At every turn there is something new to excite the ears. If this album won't get people moving check them for a pulse. I have been a fan of Digital Beat for some time now and I can say that there is no comparison between a 128kb mp3 and this album. The sounds are explosive and loud. The quality of the recording is top notch and have to be heard to be appreciated. This is not your run of the mill electronic music. It is simply excellent!

  • This CD just rocks! Crazy beats with incredible feeling and sensitivity.

This CD will have you up out of your chair and rocking. If you're an instrumentalist, you'll be reaching for your axe to jam with it. Remixers, here is a treasure of insane beats and infinite layers of sound. One of the most enjoyable electronica CD's in my collection. Ed Drury mp3.com/EdDrury

  • Review from the title track of album "Underground Industry"
    author: John De Boer

"Underground Industry" Lots of energy!! As I listened to the songs on the page I liked this song because of the variance in sounds and styles. All though all the songs have a sort of TRANCE feel and I personally am more transandental this song seemed to jump out from the group and catch my ear. The sound is what it claims to be a DIGITAL BEAT and delivers a high quality driving electronic sequential sound, but particular songs reach beyond this and reach an Ethereal Digital Beat this is where I think the group (Digital Beat- is a one man project: editors note) is starting to reach its true potential. john de boer www.mp3.com/deboer
