notes
Dice Fly High:
1) Impressively expansive rock n roll from the musical amalgam of Asheville, NC.
2) Three like-minded gents that have played in several other notable projects: The Dirt Poor Authority, Evoka, and Black Eyed Dog.
April 2003: Thomas Fitzpatrick (Lead-Vox, Guitar), Zack Plemmons (BGV-Bass) and Jeff Hoyle (BGV-Drums) began exploring music that creates an atmosphere that invades your heart and head while your feet move to the melody and the groove. The music is at once engaging and addictive. They take a pop song structure and pack it full of punk angst, dance groove, and progressive rock n roll. Thomas' guitar and vocal style is raw and full of emotion, possessing a sophistication that captures and holds you straight through every song. His playing keeps you absorbed in the rich textures with his unexpected progressions and catchy hooks. The drum and bass combination ranges from pulsating dance beats, to 70's punk, entrancing and driving. Rock and roll as it was at its inception...pure expressions of what it means to be human - transparently honest, energizing and approachable. A Dice Fly High show picks an audience up and carries them into a world where rock and roll can still change the planet. They love what they are doing. Watching them pour out their well-crafted songs is as captivating as the music itself. Alive and interacting - Dice Fly High plays with the hearts they wear on their sleeves.

No need to dance, but you can
author: TC ConnerWhat distinguishes Dice Fly High from other musical acts is the rich and excitable voice of Thomas Fitzpatrick. It's punk revisited with his young and raspy voice providing both soft and hard tones that mix perfectly with his driving guitar strokes. Bass, drums, and backing vocals enhance the sound DFH puts out, but it's Thomas' voice (and his guitar) that shines on "Thank 7." I eagerly await their next release.
dont be an idiot, buy this album
author: AmyI am the president of the Dice Fly High fan club in Australia. I love this band for many reasons, but mainly because, well, because they rock. You should buy this album because one day DFH will be stepping off the private jet in North Carolina to a bunch of screaming girls welcoming them home after a sell out tour down under and you are going to be all why didn’t I buy the album when it was still $9.99 + plus postage? Why didn’t I buy the first ever album before it became a collectors item? WHY didnt I listen to that president girl when she said this would happen? And I’ll say because you’re an idiot man. Don’t be an idiot. Buy this album.
Great, different sound that won't be found anywhere else!
author: Sharla BI've only heard a few of the songs on this CD, but let me tell you, the songs are amix that you won't get bored of! Punky, but not too hard, relaxing, but stuff you can definitely dance too if you wished...It's hard to mix so many genres and still come out with a great sound, but DFH has done it with Thank 7. I think their official genre is rock n popunkance.
