REDUCED!!! TWO CD-SET COLLECTORS EDITION NOW $14.95
Daryl Hall & John Oates: The Philly Years - Collector's Edition, features 38 songs in a 2-cd set, recorded between 1968-1971.
Disc 1 includes 23 songs featuring Daryl Hall and John Oates in their early Philly years after being discovered by renowned songwriter/record producer, John Madara, and before their record deal with Atlantic Records. Thirteen of these songs have never been released. Five songs are recorded by Daryl as a solo artist before he and John Oates began recording together, one of which is a rare bonus track of a never before heard recording, "Girl Don't Make Me Wait," written by Leon Huff.
Disc 2 includes 15 original songs, two of which have never been released, of the group, Gulliver, also before Daryl's teaming with John Oates, which features Daryl Hall, Tom Sellers, Tim Moore and Jim Helmer.
This one-of-a-kind 2-cd package is presented by John Madara, through That Philly Sound, which is dedicated to the music that came out of Philadelphia during the 50's, 60's and 70's. John produced the hit record by Danny and The Juniors, "Rock and Roll Is Here To Stay," and co-wrote and co-produced other timeless classics as "At The Hop" (Danny and The Juniors), "The Fly" (Chubby Checker), "You Don't Own Me" (Leslie Gore) and "1-2-3" (Len Barry, who also co-wrote the song). These and countless other hits helped to create "The Sound of Philadelphia."
All songs have been digitally restored and digitally mastered.

This is probably the BEST album to have if you want Hall & Oates' early recordings. It has unreleased tracks plus tracks from Daryl's Gulliver album. I love the unreleased tracks! I recommend it to all diehard Hall & Oates fans!
Good rare Hall & Oates
author: Tom MourgosI bought the original "Philadelphia Years" recently but this disc had all those songs plus some extras I never had on CD before like "Princess & The Soldier" by Daryl Hall w/The Cellar Door. Great stuff for the Hall & Oates fan who must have everything....
