author: N ShermanThis CD has the same effect on my brain as Chopin, Liszt and Beethoven: It's de-stressing, witty, charming, elfin, nostalgic with a wonderful touch of romanticism. I'm running out of words, but never of wanting to listen to it!
Smart Lyrics, Sophisticated Tunes...Did They Clone Noel or Cole?
author: Liz SmithWhy does it not surprise me DeVore enjoys considerable acclaim abroad but less attention in the pop-obsessed, mindless lyric-addicted US? Here we have another example of his delivery of one hummable (and memorable) song after another, with a surprising variety of artistic techniques...coupled with lyrics worthy of a devoted London Times reader. Smart, highly polished, or "downhome" Southern or even South America ...the disc is never dull or predictable. How many other CDs can we look at in our collections and say that? I was surprised and delighted to find this nugget.
