notes

Detagoh (pronounced Day-Tah-Go) is a hip band with an admittedly strange name. The name Detagoh is a combination of cities/states where the members of the band are originally from, DETroit, ChicAGO and oHio.

Detagoh infuses the unique sound of violin and harmonica with piano and guitars to create an exciting sound that is catchy and appealing to a wide and diverse audience. The music can be described as pop rock with a bluesy, sometimes country-sounding, element. The best way for you to determine what type of music they play is to experience Detagoh’s sound and decide for yourself.

A young group of “veterans,” Detagoh has played many high profile gigs including throughout the Chicagoland area including: headlining at House of Blues Chicago, Taste of Chicago, opening for Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers and many more. Detagoh is a band with catchy, original music, and the unique ability to take a cover song and make it their own.

  • One of the best CD ever

I live in Michigan on a chain of lakes. We always park with a least 20 other boats. We put the CD on and everyone was in awe. They all just loved it. I gave them the address so they could also order one. It made the day fun ! Thanks again and keep up the great work.........haven't gotten to enjoy a band like we did yours in a long time. Thanks again Cindy

  • Great music to "chill" by!

I caught some of Detagoh's show recently at the House of Blues in Chicago. I immediately enjoyed their sound, bought the CD and I love it...I've listened to it 3 times already this morning and it doesn't get old. I'm a big fan of Dave Matthews Band and Detagoh has a similar vibe, maybe a DMB meets Blues Traveler would be more accurate. The lead singer, PJ Anderson, sounds a lot like Rob Thomas (before he went pop). A lot of feeling, great music, definitely worth a listen, you won't be sorry!

  • Great CD !

A great CD filled with catchy tunes. Most of the songs are upbeat, and light. I would call it Happy Music. I can't stop listening to the songs Fall Into Me, and City Lights.
