notes
This CD is a collection of Traditional songs with a "Fresh Twist" for families and children. It is filled with such Enthusiastic Energy and Fun in the music and words, so as to delight, motivate, inspire, and generally cause you to sing a-long and dance. David has captured the essence of Folk, Pop, Rock & Roll and Bluegrass all rolled into one.. Although the songs are traditional melodies, they are newly arranged and have new words written by David E. Taylor and Linda J. Bloedau. Their inspiration and insight in the words and music have focused on the joy of singing, dancing, playing music, reading, learning, nature, animals and family time. This CD is truly a fresh wave of music created to cause laughter and happiness and be enjoyed by all family members.
David is the son of world famous "Flat Picking" Dobro player, Tut Taylor. David grew up playing guitar and singing mostly with his dad and friends. His greatest influence has come from association with some of bluegrass music's greatest musicians. He learned to play guitar from Norman Blake. He Played with John Hartford, Norman Blake, and Vasser Clements in his fathers basement. Over the years he has had the opportunity to visit and meet with, Hank Williams Jr., Leon Russell, Johnny Cash, Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs, Mark O'Conner, Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush and many others. He truly loves music and especially singing for children.
The music is the ingenious work of Jens (pronounced Yens) Kruger of the "Kruger Brothers" band from Switzerland. Jens plays the acoustic and electric guitars, banjo, mandolin, dobro and more to create this wonderfully composed music. The Bass on some tracks is played by Joel Landsberg of the Kruger Brothers band. The Cd was produced by Jens and recorded in Switzerland at Doubletime Studios Inc.

Great for all ages, both young and old alike.
author: Becky Slate"The Ants Went Marching" is the perfect collection of tunes for young children and "Big Kids" too! The songs are familiar, but the sounds have a fresh jazzy flair all their own! I play my CD on the way to work and my whole day is just plain better. It's melodic tunes are refreshing and takes you back to a simpler time when the world was all yours. Everyone I have shared the CD with, just love it. I originally bought the CD for my nephew, but guess what, he never got it!
