What a life represents an introduction to the type of music i have on my site, www.dehumob.com in the 'sonic spaces' room following the 'to be or not' link... :)
In "What a life..." I have chosen to use music as my main vehicle of communication, not songs or lyrics. Without changing much, I have held on to the musical ideas as they came to me. The context of interpretation is the title of the piece and the writing on the sleeve...
Over the years, I have listened to these tracks and tossed them here and there trying to force them to fit into a mould they were obviously not designed for. Like life, we sometimes find ourselves trying hard to become something we would never be able to become. Consequently, we fail to become the one thing we are able to become, or more accurately, fail to realize and appreciate the one thing we already are.
Music comes to me as moods. I sit down with an instrument, a keyboard or piano because I am in a particular mood. I play and I decide which chord progressions, melodies or sounds I play are acceptable and which ones are not. These decisions, I believe, are based mainly on the mood I am in . Therefore, the composition I end up with, I believe, is my musical interpretation of that mood.
"What a life..." is an initial portion of my perspective of the story of life that I have chosen to tell. And I will continue to tell it until life ends either just for me, or for the whole human race.
As much as lyrics, titles and associated visuals might impose a context upon these musical expressions, they merely represent one perspective of the experience, and you are free to find your own perspective from which you will derive your own meaning and value to these expressions and experiences.

excellent work... very invocative and extremely visual
author: ChristopherThe songs are so rich in emotion you can almost touch it! Each song seems to be telling a different story with multiple layers revealing complex relationships...much like the life itself...they truly sound different with every listen and mood!
