Theres a difference between a person who likes to travel and a person who doesnt have a home. Singer-songwriter Deepak Super falls somewhere in between. Hes lived in Ventura County on and off for 24 of his 27 years, long enough to make plenty of lifelong friendships and ingrain his monotonic voice into the local music scene. But this isnt really his home. After crisscrossing the United States multiple times, often staying in unfamiliar cities for prolonged periods with little more than a guitar to his name, Ventura is now just another extended tour stop for him. At least, thats what he hopes. For the moment, Super, who performs under the nom de folk Deepakalypse (his birth name was given to him by an Indian spiritualist), is just arriving back to the states from a european excursion to meet people and play show's. He had the most success in Paris where by the end of his three week visit he was getting paid 75 Euro's a night to play in bar's and cafe's. Now he's heading back to the west coast to prepare his car for a tour of the states this summer. So far he's played shows in a scattered pattern and workin on getting it consistent. He's played shows with people and bands such as....Viking Moses, Kimya Dawson, Chinatown Bakeries, Mandorine Dynasty, Franklin For Short, Ellani Mandell, Glass and Ashes, Rob Zebrekie, David Lovering, Kissing Tigers, Billy the Kid, Holy Diver , Samantha Jones , Cassette and Little Wings.

author: Bunny FooFooThis CD is great. I have not stopped listening to it all week. IMO, it is a great CD to have sex to, and mellow enough to listen to at work. I can't wait until the next one.
