Debbi Walton has been selected as a Finalist for the 2006 Independent Music Awards. Her latest release "Still Your Fool" is up for Album of the Year in the R&B category.

Debbi Walton was a 2005 Finalist in the Austin Music Foudation's Incubator Program.

Debbi's mother raised her on love and R&B. Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, Fats Domino, James Brown, Ray Charles, and Jimmy Reed were as much a part of her childhood as
Kool-Aid and hot summer days.

With a heavy soul meter, and huge voice Debbi Walton's fourth CD release "Still Your Fool"is a mature, built-to-last collection of solid tunes and performances. Lovingly constructed by producer Stephen Doster, this record explores the theme of love from serious, playful and
confidently independent perspectives. Warm R&B and soul grooves compliment the elegant delivery of one honest voice. Devoid of sensationalism or shock value, this record never panders to pop fads and will remain viable

    First heard Debbi on KFAN a couple of weeks ago and wow what a voice. This CD is one you can think of all kinds of things to do while listening to it. Wish I could find more of her music on CD Baby.

    Not many artists have the confidence to open an album with the weakest track, and then build to the finish. But if you stay with it, this album definitely delights and definitely will not disappoint. Bluesy and ballsy - "Still Your Fool" will make you stop, look & listen.

    I have followed Debbi with her buddy holly she has done nothing but get better!I have everyone I know singing Debbi songs from deep east Texas to the coast. If you can not find at least one of her songs that you like then there is some thing wrong with you, go to the DR right away cause you just aint right!

    Someone sent me Walton's CD, Still Your Fool, and I fell in love with it the first time I heard it. Every single on it is brilliant. I cannot believe it isn't listed at Amazon.com. I can't believe I can't buy her other CD's. Where's the marketing for this brilliant musician?!
