    Mandala is a collection of songs straight from the heart of Jeremy dePrisco. Jeremy takes you on an emotional ride through songs about life. In his music you'll hear happiness, sadness, confusion, inner-exploration, and observation. If you want to think about life, lend an ear. Mandala will have you pondering. From the technical point of view, this CD is an achievement. Not only did Jeremy assemble the players to put this all together, he directed them to forge the sound he wanted and brought to life the things he heard in his mind. You can tell that he worked from a plan. This way not a work just thrown together. Mandala... music from the heart and soul... food for the mind. -Mickey Maguire

    The overall content was refreshing. It is very driven, yet sensitive. It is very personal. It is creative. I am certain that its power appeals to the masculine side of the species, yet as a female I am drawn to the emotion that shines forth from it. I know pretty much how you feel about each song. Sorry, if I am going overboard here, but I never look at or judge a musical work based simply on musical talent or ability, which was certainly evident as well.

    DePrisco has many exceptional qualities in both his writing and his delivery. The most notable is that all of his lyrics are understandable... with DePrisco’s well-crafted writing and musical structure he can let you have it the way it was written. In a presentation similar to Roger Miller and with the stylistic sensitivities of Jethro Tull, Jeremy DePrisco packs a complete package. In its latter part, this album has a nice balance of many of the different styles offered up in the meat of it. Trying to summarize this CD would do it a disservice. It is many styles of music with more than one theme. None of the styles clash, though some of the songs are very ambitious for the greater content of the album...... The listener gets the sense that Jeremy DePrisco would like to make this world a better place by prompting us to think about the little things we do that affect us as individuals and in relationships. This record is well thought out and quite effective in its mission.

    Sensitive, purposeful, and masterful. A modern-day Gordon Lightfoot/Cat Stevens with an inclination for Buddhism. Strong, intelligent, and mature-grassroots songwriting coupled with accomplished playing. Every phrase, every note moves with love and meaning. I have a feeling that Jeremy is right where he wants to be.

    I got the CD. I'm listening to it now. Let me say, One hell of an album!!!! You've done a great job with all the vocals, insturments and arrangement. It was worth the long haul. You've made a beleiver out of me. Excellent work dude! I know it won't be any time soon (maybe never again? I certainly hope not!), but I'd love to help you if you decide to make another album WAY down the road. Take a break, enjoy life. Excellant job, man! I was talking to a friend of mine about the CD and how it showed up out of the blue and the whole history behind it, and she said something to the effect of "Wow, that's amazing, he actually wrote songs about you." I never really thought about it before, but she's right. To be in someone's thoughts so much that they put it into art is a powerful and precious thing. I know you didn't do it for me, and maybe if you had the chance to go back and do it again you would make things completely different.     "I think that the whole CD is professionally produced and directed. Many of the songs have deep and thought provoking lyrics. No "Shake you bon-bon" or "Fly" stuff here, so that may discourage tons of mainstream radio play. But if you have made something that is true to yourself rather than copping out to the pop media then you are a better person (in my mind) rather than a sell-out. The time and effort that you put into this does come out in it. A well thought out piece with some real soul searching lyrics. The love songs are very modern and reflect our times and relationships. All in all I think that it is great..."

    Disturbing, inspiring and positive. Disturbing, in that, I could connect on an almost parallel life line. It conjured up past regrets and hurt. Inspiring, in that, I found your song about believing in a God you weren't sure was there. Positive, in that, the songs all seemed to give the listener a 'line of hope.' It began with the questioning, then the searching, then the longing, then finding the light at the end of the tunnel...

    The songs on MANDALA simultaneously challenge the listener's mind with descriptive word pictures and express artistic and emotional ideas that many listeners can relate to. These songs also demonstrate a maturation of Jeremy's abilities; having started out as solo performer withonly an acoustic guitar, he has clearly developed his multi-instrumental skills and ensemble playing into the fully realized songs on MANDALA. I recently staged an adaptation of Ibsen's PEER GYNT using some of Jermey's songs; his lyrics fit perfectly with the ideas embodied in the play: finding oneself and the path to self-awareness, and "To thine own self be true!" My personal favorites on MANDALA: "Just A Matter of Time," "Give me a Break," and "I Ran Away." And I can listen to "Why" and "Breathe Deep" repeatedly.
