excellent
author: R. KhaliliThis CD offers a variety of beautiful and - indeed - Persian/Iranian pieces, a kind of Persian music which is unfortunately not reflected enough today even though it is really characteristic of Persian identity and reminds you of the experience and the spiritual and cultural wealth of this old people throughout history and until today.

For the world music buffs out there who tend to steer away from "fusion," you can rub your greasy little paws together and lick your chops for an excellent album that showcases the stunning traditional music of Iran, presented in an original style by composer, Kazem Davoudian. With and without vocals, the diversity on this track is exceptional in itself. This is a true gem of Middle Eastern music that gives a fresh look at contemporary work rooted solidly in an ancient tradition. Extremely visceral and stirring.
