Singer/songwriter genre at it's absolute best.
author: Joseph SimpsonCampfire songs amazes me every time I listen to it. Jimmy Davis weaves his stories, and musicianship together like the beauty of an untouched spiderweb. Not only is this album made up of all top quality songs, but each one carries the listener to exactly where the song takes place, and almost forces you to feel the range of emotion that adds weight to the album as a whole. I have to admit that after Jimmy Daddied Acoustic Songbook, I thought Jimmy may have to struggle to match the songwriting on that album. Boy was I wrong! This album comes out of the gate like a shot, and never loses momentum. It drew me in with the youthfully charged "Watch the fire burn down" and held me up all the way through to the end with no low points or filler material. A collection of original tunes guaranteed to excite anyone who loves the lyrics of a song as much as the music. Thanks for sharing Jimmy.

author: Frankie CallaghanHell I love this album. The first time I played it I was astounded at the quality of the songs and Jimmy's vocal and playing performance. For me 'Lonely' is the stand out track and in my opinion will go on to be a classic, covered by many artists. I had the good fortune to tour the USA with Jimmy many years ago and it is brilliant to see what he has marured into both as a singer/songwriter and as a person.

Excellent album!
author: JoeyA great collection of songs. Excellent songwriting, amazing musicianship, and passionate vocals. Another master piece from Jimmy & friends. I own and recommend every album that jimmy sings on. Even back as far as 1987 when he put out an amazing rock album with a group called Junction (featuring Tommy B. who is on this ablum and Riverbluff Clan albums too).
