notes

David is spreading a positive vibration through his grooving, acoustic, folkedelicfunkpop melodies while exploring a myriad of textural soundscapes. His styles range from on voice with a guitar to elaborate orchestrations performed with everything from ancient gourd instruments to the latest electronics, all displayed on his solo release, DAVID (1999).

David's love and interest of music spans almost all of his life from the beginning with a ukulele and piano lessons at age five to the high school band president excelling in both woodwind and brass instruments, through years at The University of Akron and Cuyahoga Community College studying jazz and electric bass as well as listening to his father play, sing and perform in Barbershop Quartets and Choruses for eighteen years or so. David has spent the last decade devoting his time and energy to performing as many as 150 shows a year with a multitude of original musical acts throughout Northeastern Ohio, at the same time creating an original sound for himself. David's current projects also include being the bassist/vocalist for Rebels Without Applause classic rock party band who have played in and around Cleveland Ohio for twenty years. Although David is well versed as a multi-instrumentalist/vocalist his passion is the bass guitar, he spends a majority of his time playing as a freelance bassist as well as instructing students at Woodsy's Music in the art of the bass guitar.

David is obviously a real lover of music, and a very creative arranger/player. Just have a listen to Easy Rider. These fifteen songs float along in a groove I haven't felt for thirty years or so. It's like...bare feet, and, blue skies, forever. David definitely gives you a new way of looking at the day!
