notes
At 16, Dave was abducted by aliens. Though the anal probes rendered him unable to walk normally, the experimentation gave him incredible musical gifts...(smiles)...
Dave Wilkins has been playing music since he was 8 years old and has been involved in numerous recordings in Australia. This album, "Nothing in Moderation" was recorded and finished in early 1998, during the Australian summer.
The inspiration for "Nothing In Moderation" came from when Dave was living in London feeling disillusioned with music in general until he went and saw what was then a little band in New Castle called Oasis. The creative juices began to flow from that point and became what is now "Nothing In Moderation."
"One of These Days" was the highest rotating single on Australian radio which pushed the record into top 40 sales. The band toured extensively throughout Australia and Europe and then took an extended holiday at the beginning of the year 2000.
Dave then joined Academy Oscar winner Russell Crowe's band 30 Odd Foot of Grunts (TOFOG) and has been writing and touring with them until the present day.
Dave Wilkins Band is currently in Velvet Studios in Sydney putting the final touches on a new album which will be released in early 2002. It has a working title at the moment of "Stealing Beauty."
There will be a tour in early March, 2002, which will include some shows in New York, Austin and Los Angeles.
The new record features the same recording lineup as "Nothing In Moderation" which is Dave Reynolds, Cath Synnerdahl and Matt Cornell. This album is self produced and features a song by legendary Australian writer Don Walker and number one Australian writer Diesel. It also features backing vocals by Wendy Matthews.

author: Mo. SpainIf you love feeling carried away by intense lyrics and exciting melodies, if you want to be surprised song after song... even after having played them a dozen times, Nothing in Moderation is a must. Every song is a favourite!

Discover a gem of a cd!
author: Janey - UkFrom the opening song 'Fanfare' this is a cd that will have you hooked immediately. Whether it is the driving power that is 'One of These Days', the melancholy lament of 'Mister Rain' or the heartfelt angst of 'Best of Times Pt 2', I can promise that you will be humming these tunes in your sleep. For anyone that is a sucker for a haunting melody, an accoustic guitar, or a really good rock song, then this is the cd for you as it has it all.... and then some!
