DAVE SCOTT IS KNOWN IN SAN DIEGO AS THE WEEKEND METEOROLOGIST FOR KUSI-TV BUT CAN ALSO BE HEARD EVERY MONDAY NIGHT AT THE TOP JAZZ CLUB IN SAN DIEGO, "CROCE'S" (WWW.CROCES.COM). EVERY FRIDAY EVENING HE PLAYS AND SINGS AT LA JOLLA'S RESTAURANT TO THE STARS "PASQUALE'S ON PROSPECT."
HE HAS BEEN PLAYING THE TROMBONE SINCE HE WAS A BOY, AND DAVE STUDIED UNDER THE LEGENDARY BILL WATROUS. DAVE'S VOCAL STYLE IS COMPARED TO FRANK SINATRA AND MEL TORME, AND HIS RICH, SOOTHING VOICE DOES GREAT JUSTICE TO HIS ORIGINAL PIECES LIKE "IN A FOG," "HERE COMES THE RAIN," AND "WHEN YOU'RE ALL ALONE."
THE EARLY REVIEWS ARE IN FOR "IN A FOG!"
Dave! The CD is a gas!
The material is ingeniously written,
and you and Bill have a great way of playing against and with each other.
You sound great as usual. I am proud to know you, David!
--Bill Watrous

A must-have for pop OR jazz lovers-Dave is a master !
author: LA STYLE WATCHA must-have for pop OR jazz lovers-Dave is a master at tendering songs with introspection or glad-hearted-high-as-the-sky lyrics and music! You can tell he has been schooled by the greats, and possesses a natural talent that even "practice" cannot establish. LA STYLE WATCH anxiously awaits his next project. Watch for him!
Should be in your CD collection and on your iPod!
author: "SHOTGUN TOM" KELLY -- K-Earth 101 FM Los Angeles"The Dave Scott Jazz Ensemble CD "In a Fog" is wonderful. As an avid jazz fan Dave captures a mood that is upbeat and mellow. This CD should be in your CD collection and on your iPod for great jazz music you want hear over and over again!"
Who is this guy?
author: Eva AllenHe's a weatherman? Dave Scott should quit his day job--he was born to make music. Music is the most subjective of the arts, but any jazz afficianado should agree that each of these songs has a certain soul...an authentic sound and feel. It'll be interesting to see if this CD gets the recognition it deserves.
So glad I bought this!
