a masterpiece of styles
author: Tom(the man of steel)WolfOnde again Dave Mell showcases his talents and that of other top area musicians in this wide ranging body of work. Rollin Man has something for everyone. Dave showcases many different styles with accuracy but also adds his personality to every track. Ellens vocals are strong and convincing. When she sings "I Just Wana Make Love to You" Im thinking Where and when. Just one suggestion. The album cover would have looked great if it was all black, then you could see yourself in it.LOL just kiddin. Great job Dave,Ellen and all
Rollin' Man eloquently preaches the gospel of the blues.
author: Mike Zielinski, co-host of BCTV's "Berks Vibe"Rollin' Man by the Dave Mell Blues Band eloquently preaches the gospel of the blues. The 18 tracks -- mostly memorable covers with a few crisp originals -- on this foot-stomping CD richly cover the gamut of blues styles. Good blues percolates in your soul, and that's exactly what Rollin' Man does. The band is kicking, the arrangements are awesome, and Dave and Ellen have the perfect gritty pitch for blues vocalists. Indulge yourself and buy the CD. Your soul will thank you for it.

author: D.J. Johnny D.This CD is a fine example of what real blues is all about! Dave Mell ROCKS with his guitar but passionately ROLLS with the BLUES.I've seen several of Dave's bands over the years & immensely enjoy his guitar work as I'm sure anyone who appreciates great music would. I have personally added this CD to my collection & I recommend you do the same if you enjoy the blues or even think you might. I'm a rocker but I enjoy listening to the ROLLIN'MAN!

Having been a Dave Mell's fan for many years now we were very excited about their new CD coming out. As expected, it's fabulous! The mixture of both Ellen's & Dave's vocals make for some great sounding blues. We can't wait for the next one!

The quality of this CD is much better than I expected. Have seen this band live many times but usually can't concentrate on the music because of surrounding noises and distractions. Lots of good cover songs and a few originals make this a good CD for listening and dancing. BUY IT, YOU'LL LIKE IT!
A fine presentation of multiple blues styles
author: John G.Rollin' Man is a fine vehicle for showcasing the chops and versatility of this talented guitarist, Dave Mell and his band. The CD presents a wide variety of blues styles done in an infectious way that makes the listener want to play it again and again. Ellen adds a wonderfully gritty sound to the mix with her Joplinesque vocalizations. Running After You is a beautiful new ballad, whose melody will haunt and enchant you. A great blues album that should be in your collection.
It's finally here, and it was worth the wait.
author: Fan in PaDave Mell and his band are true musicians. This is the kind of band that should be recognized worldwide. I believe this band should be able to make themselves nationally known, and can compete with any other artists that are on the radio. I would be the first in line to buy tickets to see such an event. No one should miss out seeing this band. I know because I have seen them many times and will be back again and again.
