NOBODY'S GOD
BY DAVE DELACROIX, 2005
There's an uproar
In the Heavens!
A crisis up above
And all the Prophets,
Lost for reason;
Our world has run amok.
So here's a jingle,
Your trigger finger,
Loosen on your gun;
The heaven's open
First time he's spoken:
He's Nobody's God!
And he's the package,
All purpose ratchet,
A divinity for All.
No special clothing,
In fact he's naked.
No assets to his name.
And he's walking,
No magic carpet,
No chauffeur driven car.
He counts no favorites
No pet retainers
He's Nobody's God!
Chorus: He's nobody's God
He's no-one nation's God
He's everyone and everything
A child's unfettered Love
He's Nobody's fool
His faith is for your love
You cannot use his name for gain
He's Nobody's God...
No one nations God
He eyes the carnage
around the planet;
Insanity of Man.
Mad adolescence
On the rampage:
Sacrilegious mobs!
He wants your attention
And if you love him
Your quick assenting calls
To start the healing
It's the season;
He's nobody's God.
And in finale
His grave defining
Commands all you to hear.
To free the children
To do the growing;
It's said, "a child will lead".
It's the season,
To plant and then to sow,
So free the Garden
From the carnage;
He said: Nobody's God!
So in conclusion,
On his ascension
The Prophets gather round.
He heals their bleeding,
Their sears and tender,
By His Almighty touch.
No words are needed!
Nor come to meeting,
The challenge for the World
And as the thunder
Echoes His wonder;
The prayers of His Love!
There's an uproar
in the Heavens,
A crisis up above!
And all the Prophets
Lost for reason,
Our world has run amok.
So face the challenge,
A final warning
And love all those you can.
Then call the Lawyers
And let them haggle:
That's Hell enough for Man!...
