notes

What's a 16 year old guitar player to do when no one will join the band? Dan Page enlisted his parents!

Dan started in on the guitar at the age of 11 in Edmonds, Washington. He formed a band with a couple school buddies called Venture that soon folded. The family moved to Port Orchard in Dan's Sophomore year of High School and he started taking private guitar lessons with 2 teachers. Signs went up at the local music store and school but the teens had no interest in joining a "blues" band. Dan's dad, Andy, joined in on bass guitar and a drum machine filled out the rhythm section. Unable to get a gig in that form they looked for a drummer but again no one would answer the ads so Mom, Suzi, stepped in and gave it a try. 2 months later they were playing their first gig and haven't looked back since!

The bands first CD "Rough, Raw, Real" was released in March of 1999 on the bands own label, Tuxedo Cat Records, and was a sellout in the first year. The second album called GLOW is now out. The band continues to explore Traditional Blues, Blues Rock and their own brand of Alternative Blues. Dan is working on an Associate of Arts degree in Music at Olympic College in Bremerton and plans to transfer to the University of Washington to work on a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music. The band plans to tour, seek a record contract with a larger label and continue to record more CD's. Dan is now 21 years old.
