Quote by Dave Pratt of the Barnstable Patriot:
"The blues run deep in the veins of Mashpee's Dan Lawson.
Strap his Stratocaster on him and Lawson deftly opens those
veins, letting his brand of high-energy boogie blues flow out
with a fire and passion that would make Clapton proud."
Dan Lawson does not play a guitar, the guitar emanates the passion and soul in a guy that "B.B. King" says is the best blues man he has seen in years! Dan picked up the guitar at the age of 4, and has since toured around the world to the delight of more than 500,000 fans. He went on tour with Nathalie Cote of Nashville. He has also played with rock great and Grammy Award winner "Mark Farner" founding member of "grandfunk railroad" Dan performed with Mark at the "Rock to the Rescue" Benefit concert's to raise funding for the New York Port Auth. who lost family member's in the World Trade Center attack's. He also has perfomed with " Blue's great's Luther"Jr"Johnson, and Matt"Guitar"Murphy to name a few. Dan was also the runner-up in the 1999 "Jimi Hendrix" guitar competition with his rendition of "Red House".Dan is a regular during "Bike Week" rally's at 'The
Broken Spoke Saloon's'in Daytona Beach Fla, Myrtle Beach SC,and Laconia NH. Through all of his career Dan has focused on one thing: Create the best possible sound with a love and passion that his audience can feel. All of this experience has culminated into the formation of the Dan Lawson Band. Formed less than one year ago, with Dan on vocals/guitar the band has already completed their first album ‘Bill ‘n Hel's Kitchen. With hit singles like Let's Ride, *Just Ain't Easy (courtesy of "Gregg Allman"), and Jo Mama this CD is getting impressive radio play, and Let's Ride has been licensed by ESPN's X-Games, MTV's Road Rules, and ABC's Making the Band. HBO will use Let's Ride and "Play the Blues" in the awesome hit series The Sopranos. It is Dan's honesty, integrity, and professionalism that have inspired his incredible band to be able to complete such a great album in the time most bands take to write one song. The band clearly demonstrates their years of paying attention to more than 60 years of musical evolution and invention. Together the Dan Lawson Band will become the dominant force in the boogie blues scene. And Dan perfer's Fender Guitar's!!!!

author: Ken FranzThis guy knows how to play guitar! Great stuff! I can't wait for the next CD. Dan covers the spectrum of blues and boogie and throws in some rock too. Not a dog on the album.
Can't help but love it, draws you in and hypnotizes you...
author: Marshall alias TexasbluesmanBlues in not just something you like, you love it. Blues is not something you frequent, you live there. Danny has moved right in and I am glad he did. Danny's playing grabs you by the ears and shakes you. Danny's vocals put icing on the cake. In other words, Danny is cookin'... Get yourself a taste, you come back to the table wantin' more! The Dan Lawson Band has served up a heap a blues and I'm here to tell ya, I want more, so will you...
