From the school of business to the street corner musician- enter Daniel Banks. Rhythm guitar player, songwriter, and singer. Prides himself in quality lyrics, and surrounding himself with quality musicians. Departing from the street corner with the cracked open case, he now performs with Mike in an acoustic duo- targeting intimate audiences. His first "homegrown" album, One More Day, was a great success, selling over 700 copies at shows and on MP3.com, within the first year. With two songs on MP3.com's top ten, in the acoustic rock genre, for multiple weeks. Scheduling the first "big studio" release for 2003 from the independent record label, For Play Records. With plans of touring nationally by 2005. Dan had found his niche at coffeehouses and smaller venues. That was of course until Mike came around.

where acoustical guitar strings and voice become ONE....
author: Bob PepplerI had never heard of Daniel Banks before nor listened to anycuts from his new CD "Let You Go". I just clicked on his sample selections and became an instant FAN. I ordered this CD immediately and when it arrived at my house, I have been playing it non-stop. This remarkable CD is loaded with 11 of the sweetest songs your ears will ever hear. The first cut,"Here I Am" really sets the pace of this wonderful album. Daniel Banks is accompanied with a host of seasoned musicians who play a blend of music that really compliment his gifted voice. The whole group fuses together as one entity and what you actually hear is a fantastic mixing of voice and musical excellence. If acoustical guitar music and heart-felt vocals are part of your musical tastes, then you really need to add "Let You Go" to your collection. My personal favorite on this CD is the tenth cut,"Sunshine". This little acoustic gem is a blues styled song that has the sweetest harmonica riff, you will definitely like it. I guarantee it will get your musical juices flowing and when the song ends, you will reach over and hit the replay button one more time. I don't know where Daniel Banks gets his inspiration to write lyrics and music from, but he should really patent the process. He is truly a Master of words and acoustical music. The entire CD is a great collection of acoustical songs and believe me folks, it belongs on your CD rack or shelf. Daniel Banks and Company is one of those rare singer/song-writer artists that surface once in a blue-moon. This CD will captivate your musical soul and wake you up like cold rain on a hot day. I simply love everything about "Let You GO" and so will you, but you can't enjoy it until you buy it. You definitely won't regret buyin' this one... Bob Peppler
