Her praise – exuberant! Her worship – passionate. Her new CD – refreshing. "With Praises from the Heart" brings us into the center of Dana Mackey’s love for her Lord.
At first glance, Dana comes across as quiet and reserved. But don’t let the demeanor of this Tampa native fool you. Out of her heart of overwhelming gratitude for the Lord’s unfailing love, "With Praises From The Heart" is Dana’s freshman project which consists of a mixture of gospel, jazz, rock, and other musical elements. God’s favorable response has thrown her into the vortex of the National Gospel music scene.
As an accomplished musician, Dana’s style not only flows with the tone and texture of today’s Gospel Music industry, but dares to surpass current trends. Her lyrics are real. Her message is relevant. And it’s reaching out to people of various ages and ethnicities in a new and exciting way.
As God has elevated her in ministry, Dana has served as an organist and worship leader for various churches and conferences throughout the Southeast. Dana is currently involved in the music ministry at Grace World Outreach Church in Brooksville, Florida under the leadership of Pastors David and Nellie Garcia.
In 2007, Dana received two EnSound Music Nominations for "Female Vocalist of the Year" and "Album of the Year". In 2008, she received a Newsome Award nomination for "Album Packaging of the Year".
Dana has shared the same venues with Jimmy Hicks and the VOI, Evangelist Jacky Clark Chilsolm and Carlton Burgess.
Dana's desire is that others will be blessed as God is Glorified.

author: Claude Mackey Host of "Inspirational Jazz"I brought the CD because of the last name. No, we are not relative. I must say "IT PAID OFF". The CD is smooth and uplifting. It will definitely get your praise on. You will not go wrong. Dana keep giving "MORE OF YOU".
