This is long awaited first Live CD from Dana Fuchs and her powerhouse band.

Recorded Live at a sold out show at NYC's BB King's, the CD captures the energy, power and raw emotion of a Dana Fuchs Band show.

The 14 song set list is made up of favorites from Dana's first CD , "Lonely For A Lifetime" such as "Strung Out" and "Songbird," new never- released tracks such as "Misery" and Dana's show stopping versions of Etta James' "Rather Go Blind" and the Beatles' "Helter Skelter" (which Dana also performs as "Sadie" in Sony Pictures' "Across the Universe").

    I saw Dana at the House of Blues in Chicago. Unfortunately she only did one set, but OMG! We were blown away! She has the most amazing voice and I'm so happy to have this CD - so happy, in fact, that I bought one for one of my friends for his birthday. I hope she makes it big. She should, with a set of pipes like that!

    I admit to not knowing of Dana until I saw her in the "Beatles" music move Across the Universe. As Sadie she stole the movie... I took a chance and bought the CD. WOW. Amazing. I am a HUGE fan of Melissa Etheridge and would love for her to team with Dana. A double shot of 2008 Janis Joplin. I'd be in heaven. PLEASE send your music to Melissa, Dana! Together you'd rule the music world and you would then be all over, making me HAPPY! I now am going to buy everything I can that you've recorded. Please give me MORE! It's been a long time since I felt so completed...thank you.

    I had the great pleasure to see and hear Dana perform in Stockholm (08-01-08) and she really blew me away. One of the best gigs I have ever seen. Dana, if you read this: I still would love to hear you sing “Piece of my heart”. I know you would do a great version of it. So if any of you out there gets the opportunity to this great artist perform,,,, just go and enjoy. Dana is great… One of the best you’ll find around.. A truly great live performer that you just got to love.

    It is like Janis Joplin is back, but Dana is even better. I was lucky enough to see (and hear!) her live in Belgium, this CD brings back a fantastic live performance. When she sang "Misery" I had tears in my eyes. She's the type of artist that gives it all on stage and even more.

    I found this incredible music while searching for Melody Gardot. After listening to the tracks on this site, I repeated the clips several times. I was completely blown away. And, I had to keep looking at her picture to see where that incredible voice came from. I think of Etta James, Marianne Faithful, Karen Dalton when I listen to this music. I highly recommend this artist.

    Dana and band deliver high energy shows. I've been lucky enough to see & hear a few. Most live CDs don't adequately capture the overall vibe & experience that you get when you're actually there. This CD is successful in being able to put you at this show. While different genre-wise, think Allman Bros-live at the Fillmore, Humble Pie - Rockin' the Fillmore, Rolling Stones- Get Yer Ya's Ya's out - excitement-wise. You can't spend your entertainment dollars on anything better than this. ENJOY! ENJOY! ENJOY!

    Dana is just great, After I listened to this CD I bought one for a friend for a birthday gift, his first reaction was "WOW!, She is really great!" Can't wait for her acoustic CD to come out. Dana and her band are just great. I hope they play someplace close to me sometime so I can see her live. Dana was the star voice in "Across the Universe" and this CD just shows what she can do.

    I watched Across the Universe and, great as the movie was overall, I was really awed by three performances - Eddie Izzard's, Joe Cocker's and more than anyone else - Dana Fuchs. I read everything that was available on the Internet about Dana and bought the CD and the DVD of her concert at B.B. King's. I find it difficult to describe what hearing Dana does to my soul - the way she performs her God Song and especially Helter Skelter - my God, move over the Beatles, forget U2! Dana is now in all my compilations of best of the best - right next to Jimi Hendrix's performance of All Along the Watchtower. I'm planning to travel to Belgium and Holland to see her live in July. Way to go Lady!

    This girl is someone I would drive miles and miles to see perform. If you haven't see her, you must. If she is off tour, turn this album up and let her and the band kick your a**. This is definitely worth buyign for yourself and might be even better as a gift to someone who digs this kind of music as well. :-)

    Like a lot of others my first time hearing her was in "Across the Universe" and that exposure created an instant fan. Glad i was able to find this site with this new release. Missed the movie in the theater and was watching it on DVD...I was online trying to find more of her music before the movie ended. I'm sorry i missed the debut CD (though it can be had for a price...$60-80...ouch) The live performance really shows the power in her voice. Now all she needs to do is bring her band to Texas.

When I heard her sing in "Across the Universe" I knew right then I had to get more of her music to listen to. She is just GREAT! Can't wait for the next CD she does.

    Blew me away in "Across the Universe", left the theater and went right to the record store and she has been a constant presence in my cd rotation. She has the passion and the stage presence that reaches deep down and grabs your soul. Traveled to NY to catch her and have seen her twice in Philadelphia since, and I am taking both my kids again in September. If you can't see her live this soul stirring cd is the next best thing.

    All it takes is a few seconds to listen and then you know it's the real deal. Dana was amazing in Across the Universe and is continuing the success on her own in touring. I can't to hear the date for LA, and hopefully there'll be a LIVE CD from Los Angeles. An amazing singer with alot of passion and soul.
