notes

Mixing dirty honky-tonk and southern rock with elements of down home bluegrass and raucous roadhouse blues, the Dallas Moore Band have developed a nationwide grass-roots following as a modern day icon of outlaw country music ... TRENDS BE DAMNED!! With a relentless tour schedule that averages 280+ dates a year supporting like-minded legends, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers, Willie Nelson and David Allan Coe as well as the white-hot country duo, Montgomery Gentry, the Dallas Moore Band's shows have turned into a counter-culture happening. His audience, a mixed bag of bikers, indie-rock kids and country rednecks is a sight to behold. It's this cross over appeal between the country and rock-n-roll audiences of America that have been attracting hoards of fans to his own sold out shows which have been described as "The Pro-Wrestling of Country Music" where guitars usually end up broken in a musical frenzy.

High on the Hog, Dallas' 5th CD for independent label, ChromaTone Records, was released in November, 2002 to rave reviews and stellar "out of the box" sales, even charting in the Top 10 Best Selling Country CD's on the internet in December, 2002, the only indie imprint to do so. It's this unrepentant "Do It Yourself" attitude that has garnered Moore national attention including 2 songs Bad Checks and Every Sad Song on the Jukebox written and performed by Dallas in the motion picture Nice Guys Sleep Alone starring Morgan Fairchild and Vanessa Marcil (star of NBC's "Vegas") and currently airing on HBO and Cinemax. The band also made a live national television appearance in the Travel Channel documentary Sturgis: The Great Ride Volume 2 and the upcoming Broken Spoke Journeys series set to air on the FOX Network and Speed Vision in 2004.

The Dallas Moore Band has been awarded an unprecedented 12 CAMMY Awards by the Cincinnati Enquirer, 2 CEA Awards (Cincinnati Entertainment Awards) for Best Country/Bluegrass Band and the Horizon Award from the Southern Music Hall of Fame published by Gritz Magazine.

Check out what they're sayin' ...

"Dallas Moore has been shaking up audiences all over the country for several years now, performing his own unique style of outlaw country music, with a big ol' dose of rock-n-roll tossed in. Moore is a true original. He isn't following a path, he is creating one."
GRITZ MAGAZINE - National distribution

"He don't play bluegrass, he don't play folk, and he sure as hell don't play new country --- Dallas Moore belts out outlaw country with all the subtlety of a barroom brawl."
ACE MAGAZINE - Lexington, KY

"This guy is incredible, taking a style that began with Skynyrd, Hatchet, CDB and even Coe and taking it to a completely new level. Plain and simple, Dallas Moore is the future of Southern Rock/Country redneck music"
LOUISVILLE MUSIC NEWS - Louisville, KY

"... singer, Dallas Moore is likened to Kid Rock meets Hank Williams, Sr."
THE BLOOMINGTON INDEPENDENT - Bloomington, IN

"Moore is getting so good at this he's making the outlaw country rock genre his own."
CINCINNATI POST - Cincinnati, OH

Dallas and the Snatch Wranglers have brought back the foot-stompin', sweat-slingin', on-the-edge feel of true outlaw country. No more carefully groomed, corporate "white hat" country...it's time to get wild !
SOUTHBOUND BEAT MAGAZINE - South Carolina E-zine

"Major labels are listening to Dallas Moore's sound."
CINCINNATI ENQUIRER - Cincinnati, OH

"Dallas and his band are a force to be reckoned with. As clear as a mountain stream and as dirty as a Texas Whorehouse. Turn it up to "eleven" and twist the top off a bottle of Jack Daniels. Rev up the shovel head and put your face in the wind. Hell ya!"
GRITZ MAGAZINE - National distribution

The stork brought my cd all bundeled up.I thanked the stork and as it flew away on a dark stormy night I shot the stork. And we feasted on grilled stork while putting the cd player on repeat and dancing naked around a fire all night long.We got up the next morning and went back to our jobs as crisis counselors.
