notes
"Son Of Harry" is the follow up to 2005's "Bandera" the first of two planned releases honoring Dale's late father Harry Peterson who was himself a musician, singer, song writer during country music's honky tonk boom of the 1940's - 1960's.
"Son Of Harry" honors Dale's father by featuring two songs Harry wrote in the 1950's "Without A Pretty Girl" and "From Now On". Dale recently uncovered these songs in a trunk and set out to realize a long time dream to co-write with his dad by finishing the tunes himself. Dale wrote the other eleven songs, featuring "California", "I'm Losin' You", "The Crime I Love" and "Old Saddle Banket".
This album is an example of the mix of styles that are Los Angeles in nature. "I'm Blowin" In The Wind" captures the mood when Peterson announces that he plays "...country music, rock & roll and a bad case of the blues..." That's Dale's style in a nutshell!
Dale called on some of his friends to help out and they showed up ready to play. Some of the finest roots rock musicians in Los Angeles are on this recording. Veterans like, John "Juke" Logan, Chris Lawrence, Rick Shea, Cliff Wagner, Dan Janisch, Miguel Garcia, Steph Traino, Jay Perris, Mike Molina, Dale Daniel and Jesus Cuevas.
This collection of songs is of the highest order in roots music and Dale Peterson has written some of the best songs of his thirty-year career. Don't miss out on one of 2007's biggest surprises. Dale Peterson - "Son Of Harry".

Now that's the Sh*t!
author: Mark GauthierDale's roots go way deep. A tribute to his father and the swinging country blues they both love and play. Sizzling rockabilly drenched blues injected momentos of American music, bars and women. Has a firm, honest foundation in tradititon but is as fresh as this morning's jet-fuel black coffee with biscuits and gravy! Close as I've ever heard his blistering live performances captured on plastic. Git this one and git 'em all!
Don't miss this one!
author: Kjell Horlin, MCWC Country Radio SwedenDale's third album is a must if you like rootsy music with both country and rock'n'roll influences. Here you get it all, uptempo rockin' tunes like "California", "I'm On The Road Again" and a great guitar instrumental "Snake Pit" together with straight country songs, "I'm Losing You", The Crime I Love" to name a few. This is an album which make you feel happy and reach for the repeat button. Nice varied styles of music, great backing and vocals. Don't miss this one, grab a copy while it's still out there...do it now!
