  • Cybill the Great!
    author: David McDuff

I love this album because it catches everything there is to like about Cybill Shepherd: her talent & her humour. She does justice to many old standards like 'That Old Black Magic', 'For All We Know' & 'Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend'. Her humour shines through on songs like 'Menopause Blues' & 'Kitchen Man', and for her fans she does a medley of songs from 'Moonlighting' & 'Cybill': 'Moonlighting', 'I Told Ya I Love Ya Now Get Out!', 'Blue Moon' & 'Nice Work If You Can Get It'. I personally enjoyed the bit where she asks a man in the audience his name (because he hasn't read her book) and he tells her his name is Bruce! Cybill's reaction is priceless and so is this CD so buy it! You won't regret it.

  • The Pride of Memphis
    author: Steven Haarala

This album is terrific. Having just read her book, "Cybill Disobedience", I could picture her on the stage and relate to all of her comments between numbers. As for her singing, she can sing anything. I especially like hearing the themes from "Moonlighting" and "Cybill". She sings a song called "Kitchen Man" that would make Bette Midler blush. She does a series of songs by Comden/Green/Styne that is just lovely. "S'wonderful" is great fun, and her version of "For All We Know" rivals any that I have heard, and I've heard quite a few. Oh, I almost forgot: "Walking The Dog" - 'nuff said.

  • Makes you smile, and go back for more.

Showcases Cybil's humor and vocal range. Listening is like a cool drink on a hot summer day. The banter with the audience is real, and the band doesn't miss a beat. Very nice.
