Current Swell is Scott Stanton, Dave Lang, Louie Sadava, Kyle Robinson, and Mike Quirke. Based in Victoria BC but Scott, Dave, and Louie are from Alberta, Kyle is from Victoria and Mike is from Dublin Ireland.
We have been together for almost a year but been writing for 4 or 5 and since moving to the island have found our own style of music. The song lyrics are written mostly by Scott and Dave but its important for us to all sit around together and honestly decide what sounds best and says what we want to say.
Current Swell has been given the chance to play with some of their favorite emerging bands like Bedouin Soundclash and The Beautiful Girls in some of the best venues in town like the ICA Folk Fest, Open Air, Central Bar and Grill, and Steamers. Next up is Australia for the winter of 05/06 and then back in Canada for festival season.
