Christopher Smith is an award winning songwriter and kindergarten teacher who has been playing music in the Bay Area for over 30 years, for both children and adults. He plays music that is grounded in the American folk tradition, as well as his own well crafted originals. His popular cd, The Golden Gate, is a Parent’s Choice Award Winner. He was also listed as a “Bay Area Treasure” in San Francisco Magazine. Many in Marin will recognize Christopher as the host of Picture Book Playland, a local cable show that promotes literacy. His original music was also recently featured in Jump Start Karaoke, a phonics based reading software program for children. Christopher’s shows are always child-centered, interactive, and FUN.
