notes
Crease is the word! And lots of people are sure to be talking about Crease when they hear the second full-length album entitled Only Human from South Florida's edgy rock foursome.
Crease landed at Roadrunner Records after Florida's biggest commercial rock station, WZTA (94.9 ZETA), embraced Crease's anthemic, fist-pounding hit, "Frustration" which was the most requested song for weeks and remained in active rotation for a full year on the station. After the release of their debut record Vindication on Roadrunner,
Crease returned to the studio with multi-platinum, Grammy-winning engineer/mixer/producer Charles Dye, who's credits include Aerosmith, Jon Bon Jovi, Sammy Hagar, Lauryn Hill and Ricky Martin - a great pairing for the hard-hitting rock band, because the chemistry was right-on and the result undeniable." Crease's sophomore full-length Only Human contains 12 fat, hook-laden, rock hits, certain to establish Crease among rock's new powerhouse bands.
The first single off Only Human, "Nothing is Real" is as real as it gets with big guitar and melodic in-your-face vocal hooks certain to catch fire at rock radio. Stay tuned, and dig into the new larger-than-life full-length album, Only Human, from Crease.
"Crease's new album, Only Human is a pretty damn good example of how to straddle the line between power-pop, heavy metal and grunge...Crease is a heavy rock band who knows how to write a melody and a catchy riff. The album opener, "Nothing Is Real" is a perfect example of that. It's the kind of song that could work perfectly on pop radio or rock radio. "Wrapped Around You", "Whipped" and "Obviously" all fall into that same category. They're all good, catchy pop songs fueled on heavy guitars... Witness the grungy pummeling of "Just Like Me", the huge "Make Me Believe" or the Rob Zombie-lite "Transparent". These are all quality songs that rock heavy and hard." -from Musicmisfits.

I found this music on their myspace page. Their music takes me back to a time when rock music moved you with it's riffs and melody. Thank you for bringing the ultimate rock back in the fore front. This CD rocks.
Really great, really original
author: KerryannOnly Human really shows the band's evolution in keeping with the times, but not loseing their roots. Just a really great Rock N Roll album. I recommend it to anyone who loves to Rock. I'm a stay at home mom and it's great to Rock out and clean house! ha ha I think it will appeal to a wide variety of people, from all walks of life. Warning, you'll be singing these songs in your head over and over. Great effort from Crease.
A Mellow album but with crunch .
author: Joey Henson.I like the new cd from Crease because they are from Florida like me and my brother. We have seen them here in southern Florida and they perform the songs even better live. I would recommend this cd to anyone who loves this unique sound. It also has a great version of Def Leppard's "Too Late For Love" as well. I hope you enjoy it!
Fantastic CD!!!!
author: Tara WoodI love this CD. I listen to it everytime I'm in my truck. Hope these guys can produce another CD in the near future.
Great CD
author: MindcrimeKelly and the guys do it again. Great tracks....great melodies. I'm ready for another Crease CD.
Good album
author: jrmI'm not a metal fan, but all the tracks are good. The keyboard programming is well-done & just right. Like their music or not, these guys are talented. Live to be in love is Fritz at his best. Keep up the good work, fellas.
better than all the rest
author: laura wardi love this album. i never tire of it. how could one tire of an album that is truly unique and refreshing. the vocals are amazing. the guitar is outstanding and the drumming is just unsurpassable. these guys are gonna make it b/c they have passion and it is evident that they are very talented.
Twice the Venom all the Fun!
author: KnightLightThe whole band taking writing credits for the songs on this album leave me to the fun of figuring out just which bandmember got pissed off or on by who and when! This album is definately a more mature album than Vindication, however, all the venom is still there for those that are wrong or who have been wronged. This is a good thing as this band puts out excellent lyrics with excellent music to back them up! I definately enjoyed this album. I would suggest that the band drop the covers of other band's songs this band can stand up and over power any current rock band! Crease could be the next big major rock band to receive national airplay and I, for one, will be proud to say I've been listening since Vindication!
Well worth the wait!
author: Jakeman19This CD Rocks!! Great work by the band and producer Charles Dye. I've waited a long time for this CD, and it is great!!
Better and Better
author: Local BoyI've been wondering when these guys were gonna put out a new cd. Their other album Vindication was awesome, and yet they seemed to top it. They just get better and better. The sound is great and the music is butt kicking. These guys definitely know how to rock. They put alot of energy into their playing and songwriting...ROCK ON MAN!
Second album is better than the first
author: Shawn BAfter seeing crease by chance in south Florida at the Chili Pepper I picked up their first album and was hooked. Great guitar riffs and catchy bass rythyms. When I saw they re-emerged with a second album I immediately ordered it. Wow was I surprised, it is even better than the first. An album to listen to start to finish. I highly recommend this album.
You can't get enough of this CD!
author: Joe A.These guys are GREAT! No doubt about it... if you're looking for next BIG thing, then this is it. You'll be playing this CD, over and over and over and over again!
Great songs!!!
author: RiggsKAfter checking out the previews I went to the bands site and checked out their video. Very cool band. So I bought the CD. Great songs, really well sung, I like the singer. The guitar playing is really good too. I like the first six songs and the Def Leppard cover the most. (Cool song to cover-GREAT JOB!). My favorite song has to be "Live to Be in Love." I really like the lyrics. I loaded the CD onto my ipod and I've had it with me everywhere I go. I'm really digging it. Great sounding record too. I hope to hear this on the radio soon.
Help...I can't stop singing these songs in my head!
author: John K.I heard this band on the radio awhile ago and decided to buy a copy of their new CD. They have some really catchy hooks on the CD and I find myself singing them during the day...that's scary because I'm not the type of person who normally does that! There is also a lot of refreshing guitar playing on the CD. It's not the same old riff, or variations of riffs like you hear with a lot of rock / metal bands today. I wish I could say there were some songs on it that I don't like but all are very good and the Def Leopard cover is phenomenal. This CD is a must buy!

I picked up Only Human while looking for songs for an independent film and it blew me away. Track after track this is better than ninety percent of what I've heard on the radio in the last five years. I just wish I could get nothing is real out of my head.
Best album of the year!!!
author: Sean WhaleyIf you are looking for something that kicks total ass then you will want to pick up this CD. Crease has written great songs and played them with tremendous energy. You can actually feel the songs pumping through your blood as you listen. I've been listening to Only Human for weeks and refuse to take it out of my CD player. I haven't heard such a solid cd in years. Every song rocks.
Awesome CD!
Lyrics are awesome...if you liked the old album, this one won't be a dissappointment. It was well worth the long wait...and you can tell they worked hard on making a great record.
Good hard hitting tunes
If you liked their "Vindication" CD, you will love "Only Human" Great hard hitting tunes. The music and the lyrics are tight. CREASE knows what they are doing when they get together and write good music.
Best Rock Album of the Year
author: Rolling StoneIf you don't pick up this cd now, you are depriving yourself of listening to one of the best new rock albums. If your tired of hearing the same 12 songs on the radio over and over then you will definitly enjoy this cd. It is one of those few cds that you can play from start to finish without even thinking about skipping a song. While I am a huge fan of the band and their last effort vindication, this album is a million times better. The lyrics are very catchy but also deep, and the guitar riffs and solos just plain rock. Nothing Is Real, Wrapped Around You, and Ordinary are sure to be hit singles, and Live to Be in Love is gonna be bigger them all of them combined. Scroll up and buy this cd now...its awesome, trust me!!!

although my heart will always be with the multi colored rock n roll band XSF back in the glory days of the Button SOuth. I am soothed by the new music stylings of CREASE- this magical bands has certainly left a crease on my frontal lobe- and one listen has certainly rocked my world!!! GO CREASE!!!
- author: chuck
new crease record!!!.....after giving their new record a spin, id have to say if you liked their last one, "vindication", you're going to LOVE "only human". its got everything that made vindication a great record, but takes everything up a notch. they have taken their songwriting to another level with this record, with stand-out tracks like "nothing is real" and "live to be in love" (a definite radio smash). so if you're into records you can play from start to finish, that will live in your cd player.....then make sure and pick up "only human"
A great evolution!
author: Jess HI discovered Crease quite a long time ago. Something like 3 or 4 years ago I belive. I bought their album "Vindication" in nyc in 2000 and fell in love with the music. I waited for ir for a long time, but their second album was really worth the wait! It's a great evolution for the band, it's a really powerful album. The kind of record that you should put on when you're kind of down, and need to be cheered up. Definitely a great record.
