Beautiul tunes, impressive lyrics
author: UronmytoeConsidering that my usual music taste is pretty fast and gritty, I am surprised how taken I am with this comparatively mellow and thoughtful CD. It has become a regular on my rotation. Whether about love or social issues, the lyrics are impressively poetic and witty. My particular favorites are "Winter Pyrite," "Please Don't Rain Dance," and "Love is Not a Crime," but its an excellent album as a whole; very well crafted. I listen to it every time from beginning to end. Well done! I hope to find more albums from this guy.
Magical music that makes you smile, cry, and think
author: JanJohn is an amazing musical talent, and this album will make you a fan too. We Come From the Sky will inspire you to dance and hope, Differences Between the Slaves will gently make you think, and Please Don't Rain Dance will let you know that a voice for good is here to sing us all (every one of us) into a better world.
This album is an incredible contribution to folk music
author: ChadThis is John's second album. It is an overall very solid album. His style is very unique and his lyrics are very inspiring. I love "Winter Pyrite" , "If", "The Please Don't Rain Dance", "Love Is Not A Crime" and "Good Day For The Rain." Again, all songs are awesome and anyone who listens to John's music can relate to any song. If you like Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, or any style of folk/acoustic music, you will LOVE this album.
