Wow!! How 'bout an extended live recording of these songs?
author: Steve Gledhill, Oswego, IllinoisCPR's Reactivated is the authentic instrumental guitar rock album. It delivers the audiophile sound as advertised with each instrument having its own identity on the soundstage. Ricketts' guitar comes alive with an awesome stratty bluesy gritty feel to it. He doesn't hide behind effects but delivers powerfully, yet artistically, in his musicianship. The music comes from a simple retro approach and these cats just simply play their hearts out. The title track highlights the incred-ability of Clark on drums and Pauken--a chick--on bass. "Bluesy Groovy", the final track, accurately describes the attitude of this band. No wasted chops here with 11 cuts in barely 36 minutes. It would be really cool if CPR did something live with extended play. Some of these songs faded to black while something interesting still seemed to be happening. A live CD would leave each cut with a big happy ending.
Mike Ricketts is the best "unknown" guitarist in the world!

Every track oozes with Ricketts' enthusiasm for making music. Jeff Clark, as ever, is an awesome drummer and Molly Pauken is an nice addition who fits in perfectly with these accomplished musicians.

I got a fever and C.P.R is the only cure! The day I recieved REACTIVATED I listened to about five times in a row in my boom box while in bed. At 1 a.m. I forced myself to take the boom box into the hallway so I could function the next day. This is truly a perfect disc, REACTIVATED is a must have! These musical freaks of nature will rock your ass off!

The tracks range from melodic to rocking to bluesy and back again. Especially liked Bamboo Umbrella and Bluesy Groovesy. A must have for any true rock fan!

My favorite tracks, #1 Bamboo Umbrella, #4 Spastic Bancoustic, #5 C out of Rap, #8 Ride the Pony. #6 Goodnight Tyler is also a favorite. #5 and #8 are just nice grooves to me.
