International press has called Costanza " Tricky's new inspirational muse " and referenced her to such respected female artists as Bjork and PJ Harvey.
Trip-hop guru musical maverick, and former Massive Attack member Tricky referred to her as a ‘female version of myself’.

Italian multi-instrumentalist , Costanza Francavilla formed the ROCK BAND "ETNIA" in 1995, where she was SINGER SONGWRITER and GUITAR player...Sonic Youth and post-rock sounds meet Pink Floyd atmospheres...
After many shows in Italy, a stint in LONDON, and the auto-production of a 4 track cd ("Subway Scenes"), the band split in 1998...
Costanza moved to London... building up her solo project.
She then started to auto-produce her songs with a for 4 track tape-recorder and a DRUM-MACHINE...the influence of London "pre-millennium" ELECTRONICA scene begins ...
"minimal lo-fi drum-machine tunes... first approach to synthesizers... rough electric guitars... just few chords ... noises and voices... sensual and blurred... she whispers ....and screams loud..."
On the 17th of December 2001, TRICKY- trip-hop guru and "Bristol Sound" maverick and member of MASSIVE ATTACK , one of Costanza's favorite artists ever, came to play in Rome.
Costanza managed to give Tricky's drummer (Perry Melius) a demo cd (with 3 songs written, performed and produced by her).
The day after Tricky called her asking to work with her: the collaboration started.
In Spring 2002 she moved to L.A. to begin recording Tricky's new album VULNERABLE (released in June 2002)... singing on every songs and co-writing 2 of them (STAY and WHAT IS WRONG)... In fall 2002 a limited 2 Cd's-edition of Tricky's BLOWBACK album came out featuring Costanza song MY HEAD.
In summer 2003, Costanza performed live on Tricky's "13" tour all around Europe appearing nearly all the major festivals such as
Glastonbury, London Meltdown Festival, T in the Park , DOCTOR MUSIC FESTIVAL ( Spain) - VILAR DE MOUROS (Portugal) - EXIT (Serbia) - EUROCKENNES (France) - WITNESS FESTIVAL (Irland) ...

Her song DESIRE was released in the electronica compilation BACK TO MINE (Tricky) in 2003.

ZEROKILLED is a five tracks Ep written & produced by Costanza:
an introduction to upcoming album including "Burqa" and "I've been waiting for you" used in CSI - CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION, Fifth Season - (" Nesting Dolls " and " Compulsion " Episodes).

"Burqa" is also been used on the L World (Episode 410) and "In the Sun" (from forthcoming album) on CSI 6th season .

These days, Costanza is based in Brooklyn, New York. She works out of her new studio, where she alternates her music production with different forms of multimedia art.
She recently perfomed at CMJ New York City and she plays tripnotic solo sets in the underground Nyc venues such as Tonic .

    I had never heard any of her songs, till I went on a cd shopping spree, picking a little from here and there, and I can safely say this has been my best choice. Not only does the entire "electronic down temp" universe engulf you, but her incredible voice and lyrics keep you entrapped for the duration of the album and more.

    ...a great place to buy music, and CD baby, you are the one! But I digress. zerOKilled is a really good album. When I first heard "I've Been Waiting for You," I scrambled to find who the artist was and where I could find the song. Bought it from CD Baby and was delighted with prompt delivery. Short but a worthy listen, "I've Been Waiting" is still a favorite, but "All the Girls" is another standout track.

    ...and who better to bring it back than this delightful woman. The CD is small but perfectly formed; her vocals are enchantingly familiar and the music is very much in the spirit of the original wave of Trip-Hop. "I've Been Waiting For You" is the stand-out track, and it's worth buying the CD for that song alone. Leaves you begging for more - can't recommend it enough, and can't wait for future releases.

    I first heard Constanza's music on CSI. What I heard had me instantly hooked. I'm glad CD Baby carried it b/c I love the fast service and charming personality. I would agree with those that say "all the girls get together and rule" sticks out from the rest as a bit more rock-styled but the rest of the CD is frigidly cool.

    Costanza's level of artistry is abslolutely astounding for one so young.The experimentation found on this cd reminded me of some of Prince's early efforts,and that is not to be taken lightly! What it is is an original sound that just blew me away the first time I heard it, on CSI (I've Been Waiting For You), and continues to as I listen to it and the other music on this CD's lovely (but too few!) collection of songs.

    MY dear god, what can I say? Costanza is PHENOMINAL. I heard about her cd through a friend on a p2p network, he linked me, and I was instantly in love. Unfortunaly, track 3 (all the girls get together) pretty much shatters the mood of the entire disk for me. While a decent track, it just completely interrupts the nice, soothing tapestry of music that costanza has laid out for us. I have no other complaints, and I am eagerly awaiting her next release so I can buy it the second it becomes available.
