THE MUSIC: Guitar driven, melodic rock with catchy hooks that keep people humming the tunes for days. Corporate Whore is a mainstream, radio-friendly rock band whose new album has been compared to platinum selling artists 3 Doors Down and Matchbox Twenty. This first major album represents a coming of age for the young band as they experimented with the styles and influences of all the band members. Corporate Whore has managed to pull those influences into a focused and driven album that speaks of the rawest aspects of life, from the struggle for success to the expression of love. "Runaway", the first single off the album is a solid modern rock song with a driving melody and powerful chorus. The album is rounded out with the power ballad, "Needed" and guitar driven riffs in "You Want" and "One Shot".
BACKGROUND:
Corporate Whore has been entertaining packed crowds since 2001 with high-energy modern rock performances. They quickly dominated the local music scene, packing top Boston venues including Middle East and House of Blues. "Corporate Whore is one of Boston's best acts. They have built such a great following for one reason: no band in the Boston area puts on a show that is more FUN and ENTERTAINING" says Rounder Records executive, Marty Willard. The band members met the summer before starting Harvard Business School. After playing in front of their 900-person incoming class just two weeks after moving to Boston, these three musicians and entrepreneurs spent the next two years of school focusing all their energy on writing new songs and growing their loyal following through live performances.
During the summer of 2003, Corporate Whore took their music into the studio to produce a professional quality 11-song album at world-renowned Ardent Studios (REM, 3 Doors Down, Gin Blossoms). "The formula they chose for this CD suits me to a T...it is a consistent sound that is their own. I'll recognize it on any radio wave, jukebox, download or any concert hall. I'm sold," says the Founder of the Association of Music Professionals in San Francisco (AMP3).
Now packing clubs on the West Coast, Corporate Whore has quickly built followings in their home bases of Los Angeles and San Francisco. Newly armed with accomplished bass player, Tal Hazon, the band will be hitting the road playing to crowds across the country.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Corporate Whore has succeeded in creating a world class, major label quality album independently with funding through private backers. The band has built a loyal fan base in Boston, Denver, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. The band has been featured on LAUNCH, Yahoo's music site. M Productions has listed Corporate Whore as one of "LA's Top 25 Bands to Watch."
Corporate Whore was also selected to play both highly acclaimed South by Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas, as well as the Rock and Roll Marathon in San Diego, CA.

Catchy..and great
author: DaveA catchy album that deserves far more airplay than it will ever get in England - which will probably be none. Each song is a gem ranging from very good to great. Buy it now. You won't be disappointed.
2 words: Kick....Ass
author: J. Bailey--Pres. S. Korean CW Fan ClubFive stars just doesn't cut it folks. CW ranges from the kind of rock that sets you on fire and energizes your soul to the smooth sound that leaves you running through the back halls of your memory. This auditory extravaganza is a must. These guys are so awesome...I started a fan club. Say no more--just listen.
This album screams out "play me on the radio"
author: Miguel RodriguezI am amazed that this album hasn't hit mainstream consciousness yet. Of the 11 songs on the album, at least 7 of them have massive hit potential. "Needed" and "03" are probably the two strongest songs on the album (though "Runway" is no slouch either). They do fit in the same general category as Matchbox Twenty, but they've also got elements of The Beatles ("Needed"), The Wallflowers ("Lighthouse") and Staind. Lyrically, the acoustic "03" is probably the heart of the album. The ballad pulls off a "coming-of-age" vibe in the vein of Mellencamp and Springsteen without it sounding at all out of place sandwiched between all the ROCK!!! In short, the music is great and the singer has a terrific voice. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we see them on MTV (oh wait...does MTV even show videos anymore?)
