Dear Cori,
I found a rare quiet hour in the middle of my day today and sat down to do nothing but listen to your new CD. It was time well spent and well rewarded. The tasty production and your beautiful performances would have been reward enough but the songs are gorgeous - simple but evocative melodies - and lyrics that show a great depth of heart, imagination, whimsey (Ice Cream) and the wisdom of maturity. Your "visuals" are wonderfully evocative (Idaho Wind)- The old Singer Swing Machine - King Of The Burley Parade) and very personal but at the same time, universal (Sisters - Common Ground). It's hard to pick a favorite because I loved them all for different reasons. Made my day.

You're simply at the top of your art. The CD is stunning; sentiments powerful; language exquisite; singing evocative; guitar playing aces..

I listened to it [Pontiac rocket] for the first time on the plane heading to Ireland last week and was literally floored. [The friend who gave the album to me] told me to be "ready" to be really hit in the heart. He was correct. Cori, I am speechless. So far, my fave is Idaho Wind, which should ONLY be sung by you or John Denver, and since John is with The Lord, there is only you. The chorus on the song is, as they say in Ireland, "deadly".

Kudos on your new album! How wonderful! We're waiting for the Cori Connors trans-continental tour. Patti and I decided we want to be groupies and follow the tour bus for a summer... Kinda like "the grateful live"....only with "we love cori" t-shirts and all sorts of good drugs like toblerone and godiva and lindt.

We absolutely love the CD....There is a rare eloquence in the lyric that combines with the resonant yearning in your voice. A remarkable treat. Thank you.

where were you in the Pontiac?
author: Dan Brown (no, not the author)I grew up in WY. The song, PR, is exactly what I experienced as a child. Every year in the 60's, we would head to ID to see my mother's sister and our grandparents. And we did it, all 7 kids, and my folks, and sometimes a friend or 2, in my Dad's Pontiac wagon! I can't tell you how many times my parents would get into it & Ma would be loading the car for ID, including HER bag of snacks! Uncanny this is! Also, ID Wind, unbelievable! My parents ashes are under a tree up near Anderson Ranch Dam! Brought tears to my eyes! I will be buying this album for all 5 of my sisters for Christmas '07. TY. TY, TY, for the joy you have brought to me, and I'm sure to them as well!
