Inspirational and high-spirited songs with valuable lessons.
author: Grant G., Los AngelesOn a recent family ski trip, we listened to The Insects Rock! Vol. 1 during the long car trip to the mountains. My six year old daughter wouldn't stop asking asking to hear "Why Would I Want to Wear Diapers" over and over again, but my nine year old son was really inspired by "You're Gonna Do Great Things" in a special way. One day on the mountain, he became frightened by a steep section of the ski run. Somehow, he found the courage to ski it...beautifully. At the bottom of the hill, I asked him how he overcame his fear, and he replied, "I just kept singing 'You're Gonna Do Great Things' over and over, and I did it!" He was so proud of himself, and I am so grateful to Corey Leland for inspiring my children with such positive life messages. I highly recommend all 3 volumes of The Insects Rock! The really do rock!
I love the words and started singing along from the first time I heard this!
author: Edie, almost five from Cambridge EnglandMummy bought this for me, on CDBABY's recommendation, (she says something about how she hoped it would remind her of the Bugaloos, whatever they are!!?) and I really love singing to it! The INSECT YOU COLLECTED is BRILLIANT!! Thanks CBBABY, Edie, almost five, from Cambridge England
So upbeat and easy to follow - catchy wording!!
author: Harriett ChermakMy great-grandson is in the beginnings of the potty routine; he laughs and sings along. Age range is great to include his older sister, making it a family listening time. Good work Corey - your talent for writing children's songs is remarkable.
Love This CD!
author: Christiann and DylanI work as a nurse in an ER. One evening a 3 year-old boy, Dylan, came in requiring sutures to 3 fingers. It is no easy task keeping a child calm and distracted for a 45-minute procedure. I happened to have my copy of Insects Rock in my car (I sometimes listen on my way to work- very cheerful music). The CD played while we sutured little Dylan's fingers- and it worked wonderfully! He loved the songs and we talked about the different songs while the doctor put in his stitches. Dylan loved the CD so much I gave him my copy to take home. He was so excited about the CD, I think he forgot about the injury altogether!
Fun learning tool for children
author: Dan SouthardFinally, an artist who has found a way to educate children in manners as well as day to day life experiences with song. Catchy lyrics and music allow children to follow along and learn at the same time. A must have for all children.
Entertainment with Great Messages
author: ChristiI played this CD at a family picnic..the kids loved it and danced. Of course they giggled for "Why Would I Want to Wear Diapers." My favorite song is "The Insect You've Collected" My niece likes to sing along together in the car. The thing I loved most is when I was taking a walk with my niece and her friend- they stumbled upon a caterpillar. Her friend wanted to pick it up and take it home- but my niece says "No- he is happy here and if you take him he won't be able to find his Mommy and Daddy." It is nice to know that the songs on this CD are not only entertaining, but educating as well.
I Love this CD and I know all the words to the songs!
author: Dylan JoscakThis is my favorite CD! I listen to it at home and with my headphones in the car. My favorite songs are: "The Insect You've collected" (my favorite insects to collect are ladybugs & snails), "Why would I wanna wear diapers" and "Some reasons we go to school". I know all the words and sing along with the music. Corey's songs Rock!
- author: Jackie
Referred by a friend, was so impressed I immediately ordered a copy for a friend in the midst of potty training(her child that is). My children love it, and I find myslef singing along and to myself...even at after the cd and my children are asleep for the night!
WOW~!!!!!
author: Shannon HurleyThis is a funny, entertaining, and educational tool for children. Every song has a lesson, and Corey Leland has a gift for wrapping these lessons in catchy melodies that will stay in your head for days! All I can say is- "WOW!!!!"
This is a great CD for kids!
author: Garret SwayneWhat an appealing little collection of songs! It's fun and friendly, but it also teaches critical lessons and values we all want our children to receive. Just look at the titles! What parent wouldn't want this for their kids?
I love it! I love it! - Elena, age 4
author: MarieSince I started playing this CD, my kids, 2 and 4, demand to hear the "new music". Their current favorite is "the Mr. Poop song", actually titled "Why would I wanna wear diapers (when I could wear underpants)" and my 4 year old giggles uncontrollably whenever she hears it and excitedly confided to her best friend about it. My 2 year old yells "Diaper song, diaper song!" I also really enjoy listening to all of the songs on this CD; it is a fabulous, educational and fun collection of energetic and positive songs about respect, self esteem, and other things you want your child to know.
greatest kids stuff i ever heard. puts education of manners in song
author: nikkii think this cd's music is catchy for everyone especially children and the lyrics are perfectly put to make kids understand things in a fun way
If the Monkees, the Beatles and the Partridge Family had collaborated on a rock
author: CD BabyIf the Monkees, the Beatles and the Partridge Family had collaborated on a rock album for kids, you'd have a gem just like "The Insects Rock!." With twelve tracks packed with sweet, poppy, jangly hooks and fun topics to keep kids singing along and learning, Corey Leland has filled a real need in the world of kid's music that parents will deeply appreciate. Not only are these quality songs from start to finish but with the universally appealing retro style, adults- especially those parents who distinctly recall the hits of the 60s and 70s- can enjoy and relate as well. It's a win-win situation and it's bound to become a top seller.
