notes
Conrad Schnitlzer was on Tangerine Dream's first album release "Electronic Meditation". They parted ways early and Conrad created experimental and abstract electronic sounds and music since 1970. He is still releasing electronic music today and Conviction presents a very good perspective into this reclusive artist's style; still somewhat accessible, calling for repeat listenings. Only 300 CDs were pressed and definitely for all collectors of and newcomers to CON. This music is hard to describe, but it takes you on a dark and sometimes harsh elektro journey.

Closer to the Krell than to Trans-Europe Express
author: James B. LeeDon't expect new age delicacy or electropop dancebeats from "Conviction." Hard-edged and amelodic, it recalls works like Morton Subotnick's "Return - A Triumph of Reason" and the second half of Tangerine Dream's "Through Metamorphic Rocks". Variously shaped and coloured sound events hung on sequenced ostinatos. The cover picture fits the sustained atmosphere very well.
