notes

This is the CDROM/video for the single 'Take Me Home' directed by talented young director Dan Reid. Shot in L.A. last summer, the performance features Butoh (an eccentric and expressive form of Japanese dance) artist Don McLeod, who appeared live with Concrete Blonde on tour last year.
Cameos include new Concrete Blonde drummer Gabriel Ramirez, Johnette's cousin Carolyn Joy, Hollywood's own Sinatra Mike Andolini, and a happy cast of good-looking locals.

  • Enjoy your present
    author: Pete

It's the gift of the present. Think about the past too much, and you won't enjoy it much. When you like it, share it. It's more fun this way. And it gets better as you change it for the better, like Johnette says. Heart warming stuff. Where's there's no present there's a hole. That's the interpretation of this humble one, at any rate.

the song and the video prove why Concrete Blonde is essential to our musical existance...

  • It's greatttttt !

In my eyes Johnette is a mystic woman and this CD brings to light the talent of this band and I don't have many words to say,,,only that it is for me and Jim your still looking great and say hey to Gab.

Apparently my favourite song of "group therapy" is VIOLENT but since I got the live in Brazil D-CD, I also love Roxy and take me home. the video shot is brilliant as ever...CONCRETE BLONDE will be my favourite alternative rock band all the time!!! by the way I try to get the ROXY maxi cd, but here in Germany there is no way to get the one easily. Hope to see CONCRETE BLONDE live in Germany soon (on this way they can come with P. VAMPIRE, an other good band!!!). there is only one possibility: Buy or die!!

  • Always a favorite - of course!

It's great to see Johnette and Jim together in this video. It seems to highlight their solid friendship and support of each other, both musically and personally. Johnette is radiant, as always, and although I can't figure out what she's showing when she opens her shirt (emptiness? the missing link?) I still find the video fascinating and entertaining. Another golden nugget from The Blonde! Love, Syd

  • Beautiful Video for a Beautiful Song
    author: D.L. White

This is a quality CD single and video. The video is artistic and an interesting interpretation or extension of the 'friendship' message contained in the song. Wonderful. On the tech side - the CD played beautifully in my computer's CD drive - no problems.

What a great video.. Very cool concept.. Johnette and Jim look absolutely amazing.. To me they still look younger than they did 13 years ago.. Im glad that there is a video to go with "Take me Home".. Thank you Concrete Blonde..
