notes
Marshall Coltman, now Peculiar Boogie, blends the influences of artist like The Rolling Stones, The Black Crowes, Aretha Franklin and other pioneers of soul into a powerful shot as smooth and intoxicating as Southern Comfort.- Ginnie Getz, LA Girl Guide.
MC was fortunate to play up the California coast with Robben Ford and open for the "Queen of Chicago Blues" Koko Taylor as well as Angela Strehli , Rosie Flores, and participating in many "Dead" jams proving their versatility and ability to capture diverse audiences.
Fronted by Lisa Marshall; vocals and bass, and Rebekah Coltman; lead guitar nad virtually anything with strings, this songwriting team draws from their love of rock to soul to R&B to create groove oriented tunes with catchy hooks and sometimes politically charged ,some interspective, and just plain fun lyrical content.
In October of 2003, Peculiar Boogie toured down the West Coast in support of their second CD, "Pay Toll to the Troll"
The band is now actively seeking management and/or agent to book them nationally and in Europe! So don't be bashful..if you are just that or know anybody who can and is good at it, give the band a shout at peculiarboogie.com
