Aromatherapy by Renee Cologne is that album. Renee Cologne's music has been compared to such various artists as Leonard Cohen, Jane Siberry, Chrissie Hynde, even Kurt Cobain.
Pretty wide variety, but what all of these artists have in common is a melodic sense, a flair for the absurd, a depth of emotion and always, humor.
Musically, the instrumentation of Aromatherapy is sparse, even atmospheric at times but unafraid to cross into the more traditional arena of rock when necessary.
Described as pleasing, teasing, goosebump raising - this record is not one to be missed.
