notes
Collin Cable started his career in Dallas, Texas where he became a founding member and primary songwriter for The Greater Good. He collaborated with England's iconic Graham Gouldman (10cc, author of "For Your Love" for the Yardbirds) on the original Greater Good project. Collin is also the co-author of "Hold On" which was licensed by the Fox Television sitcom "The Loop". He has been an active solo singer/songwriter since the age of 16. Collin’s folk-rock heritage began with his father, former Nitty Gritty Dirt Band member, John Cable. From the Ash Tree is Collin’s debut CD, produced in Dallas by Taylor Tatsch and featuring vocals by Texas luminary, Maren Morris. A blend of indie folk pop with hints of Rhett Miller and Ryan Adams, the songs on From the Ash Tree are melodic and heartfelt gems.

Amazingly Talented!
author: Tamara KeurCollin Cable's CD, From The Ash Tree, is truly one of the most incredible CD's I have ever listened to. From the very first song, to the very last, you are sucked in and captured by the emotions of the lyrics and music. Cable is a "True" performer, who writes and performs from the heart. Not just another radio gimmick that sounds the same ... He is raw, full of emotion and talented beyond his years. I highly recommend this CD to everyone. I promise you will not be disappointed.
From the Ash Tree
author: treemanThese songs are so revealing and honest. The lyrics take you to specific places and offer up true emotion. You can tell that he writes from a place he knows much about. Great melodies weaving in and out of cool chord stuctures. The rhythm section is right on with great inventive grooves and bass lines. Highly recommended for the lover of good, young singer/songwriters.
