Cole Davis, a singer, songwriter, pianist, guitarist, violinist, and violist. The only thing more varied than her choice of instrument is her musical style and genre. Classically trained in the violin and viola she traded them in for the piano, the guitar and the pen. Her music is a blend of R&B’s groove and the composition of jazz brought together by a profound lyrical statement.

Ferris Wheel, the inaugural release on her own label (Semaj), solely written and composed by Cole Davis is a musical hybrid of R&B, jazz, folk and soul. All the elements are joined by her perspective on relationships and the world we live in. “Far From The Tree” examines family relationships while “The Cost” ask us all to question our relationship to our world. Lyrics that provoke an inner dialogue yet beg for the truth to be shared with one another. Davis is garnering fans through her expanding tour efforts and the worldwide visibility of the internet.

She is joined by Peter Horvath, Ken Harrill, Dewayne Pate, Billy “Shoes” Johnson and Kenneth Nash, the San Francisco Bay Area’s finest and world renowed for their instrumental stylings. This is the first printing of Ferris Wheel, a limited edition disc for those who are fans from the onset.

    "When" is my favorite, I love them all very relaxing and soothing. It can put a smile on your face and hum along with the melody.

    Being a vocalist I am very critical of "local" artist. From the moment I stuck the cd in my player - it transformed me. This is how music should make you feel. The lyrics, the chord changes, the arrangements. There is not much about this cd that I don't love. My favorite is 'It Ain't"!!! It's "da bomb"!!! I have purchased several copies just to give to friends. That's how excited I am about this cd. It's worth the purchase. TRUST ME!!!
