The demented sounds of Chaston and Groditski were cultivated in the 1960's when Pete and Walt locked themselves in small, stuffy rooms to create idiotic music using simple instruments and household appliances. Now, thirty years later, their rhythmic bungee leaps and experimental audio flatulence have found their way into the underground music scene as well as various comedy radio programs, including the Doctor Demento show. Songs such as "We Burned the Christmas Tree" and "Dupa Dupa Toilet Bowl" reflect Pete and Walt's imagination and preposterous musical ideas.
