Cloaked Characters was established in 2000 by Joseph Tavares (a.k.a. Chlorine/Jay Tablet) and Rory Restani (a.k.a. Rory Oneders). Their music has been described as poetic hip-hop with deep, philosophical lyrics and is backed by producer Mr. E's unique and energetic beats. With influences to include Beastie Boys, Tupac, Swollen Members, Sublime, Black Sabbath, MAC DRE, Mountain Brothers, Freestyle Fellowship, DEL the Funky Homosapien, Hieroglyphics, N.W.A. and Pink Floyd, Cloaked Characters has quickly made a name for themselves in Oregon & Northern California, and is recognized by The Source Weekly as being a regular part of the Bend local hip-hop scene. More live performances are on the rise as Cloaked Characters is known by promoters to always bring a solid energetic presence to shows. They've shared the stage with artists such as Tech 9, iLL Bill, E-40, Abstract Rude, Dj, Vadim, Yarah Bravo, Sweatshop Union, 2Live Crew, and many more. author: PesaroI love this CD and play it nonstop. Unfortunately I wake up in the night with the chorus of many of these songs playing through my head. This is hip hop with a brain. Great music with lyrics that make you think.
