notes
Clay Jacobs was raised in the farming community of New Home, Texas, where he grew up singing in church and learned to play guitar and piano along with the country music of the 1980's. Clay has combined the country sound he grew up on with the story of a love that only our Savior could show, and the result has been a ministry that his 2001 album simply called "GOD'S COUNTRY"....In December, 2003, Clay released a second album called, "WHAT YOU NEED."
2004 was an awesome year for God's Country Ministries, as Clay was blessed to be able to minister and play in many churches and other areas, spreading the message and songs that Christ has laid on his heart. Clay was also blessed to meet and share the stage with some of his Christian Country Music influences, such as Branded, Justin Todd Herod, and the Calvary Cowboys. An amazing connection was made when Clay met Ken Holloway in person in Waco. "It was that meeting that shaped the year 2005 for God's Country. It was amazing to see God work as the pieces just fell into place to make this new project a reality. I know that God has already blessed it and it will be a major tool as we reach out to lost souls in a year that we have heard over and over will be an amazing year for harvest."
Sometimes God will bring you on an incredible journey, even when you may not realize that is exactly what is happening. It seems WE always have a plan for what we think GOD should do in our lives, only to find out that if we will just step out of the way and walk humbly with our GOD, He will show us our true destination...a destination full of love, joy and peace that can only come from our Savior. "I still do not know what God has in store, but I know that He has placed a calling on my life, and there are those who need to hear the word, and that is what it is all about..."

Smooth and easy Christian Country with thought-provoking lyrics
author: Greg YoungClay Jacobs sings what he knows. He sings about his roots. His songs speak right to the heart of Christianity and they come from the heart of the country. Smooth and easy vocals seem right at home with the down-home but polished sound of his band. Great job Clay. Keep 'em coming.
